The LGALS3 monoclonal antibody was produced by immunizing mice with recombinant human LGALS3 protein and fusing the resulting mouse spleen cells with myeloma cells to generate hybridomas. The hybridomas were then screened for the production of LGALS3-specific antibodies. The LGALS3 antibody produced from the selected hybridoma cells was a mouse monoclonal antibody that reacts specifically with LGALS3 protein in human and mouse species. This LGALS3 antibody was purified from the mouse ascites using protein G affinity chromatography, yielding a purity of over 95%. It can be used for ELISA, WB, and IHC applications.
LGALS3 is mainly involved in the regulation of cell adhesion and migration, immune responses, and apoptosis. It also participates in tissue remodelings such as angiogenesis and fibrosis.
