Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat AOC3 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

The Rat Membrane primary amine oxidase (AOC3) ELISA kit is a powerful tool for the quantitative detection of AOC3 in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates from Rattus norvegicus (Rat) samples.

This ELISA kit offers a wide detection range of 7.8 ng/mL to 500 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.95 ng/mL, enabling precise and accurate quantification of AOC3 in your samples. The assay time is short, ranging from 1 to 5 hours, and requires only a small sample volume of 50-100ul.

The assay principle is a sandwich method, where the AOC3 in the sample is captured by a coated antibody and detected by a biotinylated detection antibody, followed by a streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and finally, substrate solution. The signal is detected at a wavelength of 450 nm.

This kit is suitable for research in various areas and is particularly useful for studies involving AOC3,such as may be involved in the process of fat formation. The Rat Membrane primary amine oxidase (AOC3) ELISA kit provides reliable and consistent results for your experiments.

Target Background

Function
(From Uniprot)
Cell adhesion protein that participates in lymphocyte recirculation by mediating the binding of lymphocytes to peripheral lymph node vascular endothelial cells in an L-selectin-independent fashion. Has a monoamine oxidase activity. May play a role in adipogenesis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data show that 35 potential amine oxidase copper containing 3 (SSAO)-interacting proteins were found to be altered in type 2 Diabetes (T2D). PMID: 28910971
  2. VAP-1 plays a critical role in the pathophysiology of renal ischemia/reperfusion injury by enhancement of neutrophil infiltration generating a local hydrogen peroxide gradient. PMID: 28318627
  3. The changes of K(M) and k(c)/K(M) values of copper amine oxidase appear due to the presence of positively charged groups in the substrate molecules. PMID: 20686801
  4. Provide evidence for a role for VAP-1 in the inflammatory outcome of diabetic retinopathy. Specifically, VAP-1 plays a central role in regulating leukocyte transmigration rate during chronic low-grade inflammation. PMID: 19635478
  5. Our parsimonious conclusion is that there is a relation between the risk factors of AD and vascular dementia (diabetes, oxidative stress and chronic inflammation) and SSAO activity, which may originate from the vessel wall. PMID: 16524643
  6. Enzymatic activity of the atypical endothelial adhesion molecule AOC3, and possibly that of other related oxidases, is crucial for leukocyte exit from the vessels in inflamed joints in vivo. PMID: 16947396
  7. It was concluded that hydroxylamine exerts hypotension partly through conversion to nitric oxide and partly by a "hydralazine-like" mechanism involving SSAO inhibition PMID: 17385063
  8. BZA + V treatment did not reduce HbA(1C) levels, but it reduced the elevated serum SSAO activity, decreased advanced-glycation end products and increased nitric oxide in diabetic animals. PMID: 17431735
  9. evidence for an important role of VAP-1 in the recruitment of macrophages to choroidal neovascularization lesions, establishing a novel link between VAP-1 and angiogenesis PMID: 18436961
