Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Serotonin transporter whose primary function in the central nervous system involves the regulation of serotonergic signaling via transport of serotonin molecules from the synaptic cleft back into the pre-synaptic terminal for re-utilization. Plays a key role in mediating regulation of the availability of serotonin to other receptors of serotonergic systems. Terminates the action of serotonin and recycles it in a sodium-dependent manner.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Rhesus monkeys carrying the short rh5-HTTLPR allele have less optimal neonatal sensory scores than monkeys homozygous for the long allele. PMID: 27338151
  2. An effect of social status is detected on 5HTT levels in the developing orbitofrontal cortex partly influenced by exposure to the social stress of subordination. PMID: 23079633
  3. Study reports evidence for selection at the SLC6A4 gene and epigenetic reorganization according to genotype, stress, and age. PMID: 23062305
  4. A significant 5-HTTLPR effect on receptor binding at the 5-HT1A receptor site is found in animals possessing this polymorphism. PMID: 23392679
  5. We find that the short allele of the rh5-HTTLPR is associated with reduced surface SERT binding, which is correlated on an individual basis with serotonin uptake rates. PMID: 22832814
  6. rh5-HTTLPR allele modifies the effects of maternal temperament on offspring's personality development. PMID: 21866539
  7. short allele of the serotonin transporter may increase reactivity to repeated, chronic stressors, leaving them more vulnerable to affective psychopathology, with females particularly vulnerable. PMID: 22293001
  8. We thus reject a role for this particular polymorphism in interspecific behavioural variability and show that polymorphic species enjoy greater ecological success possibly due to their higher intraspecific variability in individual behavioural traits. PMID: 20411319
  9. carriers of the low-expressing rh5-HTTLPR alleles exhibited higher mean 5-HTT CpG methylation, which was associated with lower PBMC 5-HTT expression. PMID: 20398062
  10. evidence that the short allelic variant in rh5-HTTLPR accounts for increased occurrence of abusive parenting; in mothers and infants short allele associated with higher basal cortisol levels and greater hormonal stress responses in infants PMID: 19470363
  11. this study provided a basis for quantitative analysis of SERT gene expression under effects of host and environmental factors PMID: 19854262
  12. Linked to chromosome 16 in macaca mulatta. PMID: 16484793
  13. Substance abuse of cocaine leads to alterations in serotin transporter function in brain areas relevant to drug abuse. PMID: 17443127
  14. Data sho wthat genotype (serotonin transporter promoter) acted independently in interaction with social condition to affect behavioral responses. PMID: 17719201
  15. Adult female rhesus monkeys with the s-variant polymorphism in the SERT gene exhibit metabolic and reproductive alterations. PMID: 17873333
  16. data suggest that polymorphisms in the gene encoding the serotonin transporter modulate the adverse consequences of social subordination on the timing of puberty in female rhesus monkeys PMID: 18160679
  17. This study suggests that genetic factors modify the responses of monkeys to social subordination and perhaps other psychosocial stressors. PMID: 18190935
  18. length polymorphisms in 5-HTTLPR predict social reward and punishment PMID: 19142220
  19. polymorphisms in the SLC6A4 gene may contribute to differences in reproductive compromise in response to chronic stress. PMID: 19605783
