Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Broad specificity aminopeptidase which plays a role in the final digestion of peptides generated from hydrolysis of proteins by gastric and pancreatic proteases. Also involved in the processing of various peptides including peptide hormones, such as angiotensin III and IV, neuropeptides, and chemokines. May also be involved the cleavage of peptides bound to major histocompatibility complex class II molecules of antigen presenting cells. May have a role in angiogenesis and promote cholesterol crystallization. May have a role in amino acid transport by acting as binding partner of amino acid transporter SLC6A19 and regulating its activity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. we concluded that APN plays a significant role in the regulation of several sperm functions and early embryonic development. In addition, increased APN activity could potentially lead to several adverse consequences related to male fertility. PMID: 28859152
  2. These studies identified CD13 as a novel negative regulator of mast cell activation in vitro and in vivo. PMID: 26936360
  3. 14-3-3epsilon might directly bind to CD13, which transmits its signal in chondrocytes to induce a catabolic phenotype similar to that observed in osteoarthritis. PMID: 26208633
  4. Alanyl aminopeptidase expression is confined to mature zymogenic chief cells and its expression is lost en route to metaplasia. PMID: 26514774
  5. CD13 negatively regulates TLR4 signaling, thereby balancing the innate response by maintaining the inflammatory equilibrium critical to innate immune regulation. PMID: 25801433
  6. The impact of loss of CD13 on a model of ischemic skeletal muscle injury, was investigated. PMID: 24307555
  7. Molecular mechanisms regulating CD13-mediated adhesion. PMID: 24627994
  8. CD13 is essential for proper trafficking of the inflammatory cells necessary to prime and sustain the reparative response, thus promoting optimal post-infarction healing. PMID: 23761403
  9. Tyrosine phosphorylation of CD13 regulates inflammatory cell-cell adhesion and monocyte trafficking. PMID: 23997214
  10. This indicates that Anpep plays a critical role in the proteolytic remodelling of mammary tissue during adult mammary development. PMID: 22983824

  12. cooperation in APN expression by both cancer cells and nonmalignant stromal cells within the tumor microenvironment promotes angiogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis PMID: 22307623
  13. expression of CD13 in normal and pathological human tissues PMID: 21339174
  14. Data show that the majority of chondrocyte-like cells are of bone marrow origin, whereas CD34(+)/CD13(+) myeloid precursors appear to infiltrate the plaque actively and transdifferentiate into chondrocyte-like cells in the progression of atherosclerosis. PMID: 20489139
  15. although CD13 is highly expressed on myeloid cells and is a reliable marker of the myeloid lineage of normal and leukemic cells, it is not a critical regulator of hematopoietic development, hemostasis, or myeloid cell function PMID: 20430777
  16. CD13 expressed in microglia-derived exosomes is active in neuropeptide degradation and could have a distinct effect on local neuropeptide activity in the brain. PMID: 16081791
