Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in the kynurenine pathway of tryptophan catabolism. Involved in immune regulation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. IDO2-shRNA treatment also decreased the percentage of Tregs and T cell apoptosis in draining lymph nodes PMID: 29382418
  2. IDO is a critical regulator of acute pulmonary inflammation. PMID: 28673995
  3. Gene silencing of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 2 in melanoma cells induces apoptosis through the suppression of NAD+ and inhibits in vivo tumor growth. PMID: 27058624
  4. Findings suggest non-redundant neurophysiological roles for indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1, indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 2 and tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase in modulating brain activities and metabolism. PMID: 27316339
  5. The IDO2-deficient B cells lacked the ability to upregulate the costimulatory marker CD40, suggesting IDO2 acts at the T-B cell interface to modulate the potency of T cell help needed to promote autoantibody production. PMID: 27183624
  6. Targeting IDO2 with a monoclonal antibody inhibits autoreactive B and T cell activation and alleviates joint inflammation in two well-characterized preclinical models of arthritis. PMID: 28223071
  7. Indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) production by Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs)is necessary to confer suppressive function to T-Cells, Regulatory (Tregs) in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). PMID: 27470005
  8. Ido2 may be important for mouse embryo implantation and decidualization. PMID: 25408380
  9. The data showed that there is not significant effect of IDO1 or TDO2 on mortality in pneumococcal meningitis. PMID: 24844751
  10. IDO2 is critical for IDO1-mediated T-cell regulation and exerts a non-redundant function in inflammation. PMID: 24402311
  11. Deletion of Ido1 and reduced mRNA expression for Ido2 neither affected the concentration of the downstream metabolites of tryptophan nor mRNA expression for downstream genes on the kynurenine pathway in inguinal lymph nodes. PMID: 23417792
  12. results provide important insights into IDO2 function by defining its pathogenic contributions to autoantibody-mediated autoimmunity. PMID: 24489090
  13. Immunohistochemical analysis in Ido1(-/-) mouse epididymis showed that Ido2 protein was extensively upregulated due to the loss of Ido1 expression. PMID: 22895526
  14. IDO-1 and IDO-2 play biologically important, contradictory roles during intracellular protozoal infection - facilitating (Toxoplasma gondii) or suppressing (Leishmania major) microbial clearance in a pathogen-specific manner. PMID: 21990421
  15. Findings implicate novel IDO related enzyme IDO2 in cancer as a result of its preferential inhibition by the D racemer of 1-methyl-tryptophan, used widely in its racemic form (D,L-1MT) as an IDO inhibitor including as an anticancer agent PMID: 17671174
  16. role in the inhibition of immune responses to tumours PMID: 18282734
  17. A second tryptophan catabolic enzyme inducible by IFNg, implicated in transcriptional immune regulation (IFNg-driven negative feedback), may limit the pro-inflammatory and anti-proliferative functions(Review) PMID: 18364004
  18. This article describes the evolutionary relationships between the INDO and INDOL1 genes. The INDOL1 protein has a distinct expression pattern compared to INDO and both have the ability to catabolise tryptophan. PMID: 17499941
