Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Glandular kallikreins cleave Met-Lys and Arg-Ser bonds in kininogen to release Lys-bradykinin.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Polypeptides identified based on immunorecognition by autoantibodies in sera from IQI/Jic mice affected with autoimmune disease (>12 weeks of age) were tissue kallikrein (Klk)-1 and -13 and were cross-reactive to the autoantibodies. PMID: 15545270
  2. Protective effects of Tissue kallikrein gene transfer on ischemic diseases. PMID: 17465807
  3. TK, like several other proteases, can activate ENaC in the kidney and the colon. PMID: 18086683
  4. Tissue kallikrein and kinins do not influence the trophicity of kidneys, the synthesis and secretion of renin, blood pressure increase, and cardiac remodeling due to renin angiotensin system activation. PMID: 19244588
  5. tissue kallikrein knockout mice had a significant two-fold increase in albuminuria PMID: 19516248
  6. The study suggests that kallikrein plays an antihypertensive role in hyperaldosteronism. PMID: 22669897
  7. These data do not support a role for the TK-kinin system, protective or deleterious, in the development of insulin resistance and diabetes. PMID: 24599937
  8. Lower excretion of active renin and prorenin in TK(-/-) compared to TK(+/+) suggest coordinated regulation of the two proteins in their participation to collecting duct function. PMID: 14633138
  9. Plasma kallikrein-deficient mice challenged with transient middle cerebral artery occlusion developed significantly smaller brain infarctions. PMID: 25628066
  10. Local expression of kallikreins within the kidney has the capacity to dampen lupus nephritis, possibly by modulating inflammation and oxidative stress. PMID: 23280471
  11. The data of this study presented support the conclusion that Klk6 is an important participant in the immunopathogenic events that drive TMEV-IDD at acute through early chronic time points. PMID: 22335454
  12. Tissue kallikrein is essential for invasive capacity of circulating proangiogenic cells. PMID: 21164105
  13. kallikrein 6 is expressed in the nonmalignant and malignant prostate, with cancer tissues demonstrating slightly lower expression PMID: 12970725
  14. Kallikrein 6 participates in enzymatic cascades mediating CNS inflammatory disease. PMID: 15033932
  15. Tissue-specific expression patterns and differential regulation in CNS disease indicates that each K6 5'-transcript is probably regulated by unique promoter elements and may serve as a molecular target to treat inflammatory demyelinating disease. PMID: 15584920
  16. Data suggest that tissue kallikrein 1 may be implicated in the growth of uterine endometrial tissues during the proliferative phase. PMID: 17219431
  17. These results suggest that LPS activates the kallikrein-kinin system in the choroid plexus via autocrine induction of IL-1beta and TNF-alpha. PMID: 18329172
  18. role of KLK1 in arterial function; role of KLK1 in the control of ionic transport in the renal tubule; cardio- and nephro-protective effects of KLK1 and kinins in acute cardiac ischemia, post-ischemic heart failure, and diabetes [review] PMID: 18627303
  19. KLK6, but not KLK1 is an activator of CNS protease-activated receptors PMID: 18778305
  20. Gene-transfer of wild-type Ad.hKLK1 (kallikrein 1) was able to rescue impaired muscle neovascularization in hindlimb ischemia in knockout mice PMID: 19164804
  21. These findings indicate that kallikreins play an important protective role in autoantibody-initiated glomerulonephritis (GN) and could constitute potential candidate genes for anti-glomerular basement membrane-induced GN and spontaneous lupus nephritis. PMID: 19262577
