Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Lysosomal membrane glycoprotein which plays an important role in lysosome biogenesis, autophagy, and cholesterol homeostasis. Plays also an important role in NK-cells cytotoxicity. Mechanistically, participates in cytotoxic granule movement to the cell surface and perforin trafficking to the lytic granule. In addition, protects NK-cells from degranulation-associated damage induced by their own cytotoxic granule content. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. Also implicated in tumor cell metastasis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. larger autophagic vacuoles that colocalize with early endosome antigen 1 (EEA1) but not with lysosomal-associated membrane protein (LAMP)-1 were much more frequently formed in Rab7(Deltapan) pancreatic acinar cells. PMID: 28588238
  2. LIN28A inhibits lysosomeassociated membrane glycoprotein 1 protein expression in embryonic stem and bladder cancer cells. PMID: 29749495
  3. Both LAMP-1 and LAMP-2 are involved in C2C12 myotube formation and LAMP-2 may contribute dominantly to it. PMID: 30068868
  4. A recombinant DNA vaccine, pVAX-LAMP/Gn was previously proved efficient, requiring long-term evaluations. pVAX-LAMP/Gn established memory responses within a long-term protection. Lysosome-targeted strategy showed promise on Gn-based DNA vaccine and further investigations are warranted in other immunogenic Hantaviral antigens. PMID: 27923570
  5. The results presented here show the major role of LAMP-2 in caveolin traffic and membrane repair and consequently in T. cruzi invasion. PMID: 28586379
  6. Here, we identify lamellar inclusions as the subcellular site of lipid accumulation in neurons, we uncover a vicious cycle of cholesterol synthesis and accretion, which may cause gradual neurodegeneration, and we reveal how beta-cyclodextrin, a potential therapeutic drug, reverts these changes. Our study provides new mechanistic insight in NPC disease and uncovers new targets for therapeutic approaches. PMID: 27466344
  7. we demonstrate that galectin-3 induces MMP9 expression via p38 MAP-kinase pathway. LAMP1 was demonstrated to serve as one of the key mediators of galectin-3-induced MMP9 expression via p38 MAPK pathway PMID: 25739356
  8. Although surface LAMP1 promotes interactions with organ ECM and BM, carbohydrates on LAMP1 play a decisive role in dictating lung metastasis. PMID: 25614122
  9. LAMP luminal domain also showed to be essential for Gag traffic through lysosomes. PMID: 24932692
  10. The results thus for the first time provide direct evidence that cell surface LAMP1 facilitates lung metastasis by providing ligands for galectin-3 which has been shown to be expressed in highest amounts on lungs and constitutively on its vascular endothelium. PMID: 24845565
  11. Caveolin-1 associated adenovirus entry into human corneal cells. PMID: 24147000
  12. study has shown that Lassa virus entry requires a pH-regulated engagement of alpha-DG and LAMP1 both of which need to be glycosylated PMID: 24970085
  13. CD107a/LAMP-1 has a role in the protection of NK cells from degranulation-associated suicide PMID: 23847195
  14. LAMP proteins retain TAPL on the limiting membrane of endosomes and prevent its sorting to intraluminal vesicles. PMID: 22641697
  15. a novel mechanism showing how Salmonella acquires LAMP1 through a SipC-Syntaxin6-mediated interaction probably to stabilize their niche in macrophages PMID: 22190682
  16. The kinetic observations provide sufficient quantitative evidence that in P338D(1) cells the bulk of newly-synthesized endogenous LAMP-1 first appeared in early endosomes, before it was delivered to late endosomes and lysosomes about 25 min later. PMID: 21457058
  17. The finding raises the possibility that the expression of SSEA-1-positive LAMP-1 is associated with the "stemness" of neural stem cells. PMID: 20360060
  18. Using LAMP1/2 knock out cells the authors show that these two proteins are important for Trypanosoma cruzi infection of host cells, both in entrance and intracellular development, conceivably by being the major source of sialic acid for Trypanosoma cruzi. PMID: 20561595
  19. LAMP-1 can serve as a cell surface binding site for amelogenin on dental follicle cells and cementoblasts PMID: 20382373
