Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Transcriptional modulator activated by BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) type 1 receptor kinase. SMAD5 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD). Required for angiogenesis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. SMAD5 is crucial for expanding amniotic ectoderm rapidly into a stretchable squamous sheet to accommodate exocoelom expansion, axial growth and folding morphogenesis. PMID: 29884675
  2. miR-155 inhibited osteoblast differentiation by downregulating the translation of SMAD5 in mouse preosteoblast cells. Inhibition of miR-155 promoted osteogenic potential and thus it can be used as a potential target in the treatment of bone defects. PMID: 28473977
  3. Up-regulation of miR-93 may contribute to the progression of morphine tolerance by targeting Smad5 in mouse model of bone cancer pain PMID: 27438143
  4. miR-106b-5p and miR-17-5p are novel Smad5 regulators. PMID: 27426726
  5. The crystal structure of Smad5-MH1 domain in complex with a composite DNA sequence demonstrates that the MH1 domain is targeted to a binding site with modular binding modes, and the length of the DNA spacer affects the MH1 assembly. PMID: 26304548
  6. we found a cross-talk between p38 and Smad5, and that activation of p38 is necessary for BMP-2-induced Smad5 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation. PMID: 24647893
  7. SMAD5 plays a dominant role in transducing TGF-beta effects in B lymphocytes from diffuse large B-cell lymphoma PMID: 24136167
  8. c-Abl-dependent molecular circuitry involving Smad5 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase regulates bone morphogenetic protein-2-induced osteogenesis. PMID: 23821550
  9. Data conclude that antagonism of Nodal signaling by BMP/Smad5 signaling prevents primitive streak formation in the amnion of normal mouse embryos. PMID: 22912414
  10. Our results support that Smad5 is partly responsible for mediating Bmp signals in intestinal epithelial cells. PMID: 21212325
  11. role in regulation of primitive multipotential progenitors during early embryonic hematopoiesis examined using Smad5(-/-) yolk sacs PMID: 12393578
  12. Bmp2-mediated Smad5 signalling suppresses the proliferative response to Shh by downregulation of the pathway, and allows granule cell precursor to enter their differentiation programme PMID: 15197161
  13. Association of runx2 with smad 5 is essential for osteogenic induction of C2C12 cells PMID: 15573378
  14. BMP4/Madh5-dependent signaling, regulated by hypoxia, initiates the differentiation and expansion of erythroid progenitors in the spleen. PMID: 15591122
  15. Smad5-mediated TGF-beta signals may protect cardiomyocytes from apoptosis by maintaining the integrity of the mitochondria, probably through suppression of p53 mediated pathways. PMID: 15878335
  16. Smad5 determines murine amnion fate through the control of bone morphogenetic protein expression and signalling levels PMID: 16887830
  17. Smad5 is dispensable for hematopoiesis in the adult mouse. PMID: 16896158
  18. BMP7 is a differentiation and survival factor for podocytes, requires smad5, and can reduce diabetic podocyte injury. PMID: 17804487
  19. Mutations within an intron results in defects in splicing throughout the Smad5 gene. PMID: 18060457
  20. Our results indicated that deficiency in the Smad5-mediated signaling resulted in apoptosis of hair cells, suggesting Smad5 is a gene that may be related with presbycusis. PMID: 19067324
