Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Binds ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine. Has lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. Serine protease inhibitor which inhibits thrombin, neuropsin and chymotrypsin but not trypsin, tissue type plasminogen activator and elastase. Inhibits the kinase activity of RAF1 by inhibiting its activation and by dissociating the RAF1/MEK complex and acting as a competitive inhibitor of MEK phosphorylation.; HCNP may be involved in the function of the presynaptic cholinergic neurons of the central nervous system. HCNP increases the production of choline acetyltransferase but not acetylcholinesterase. Seems to be mediated by a specific receptor.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Low RKIP Expression is associated with asthma. PMID: 30282734
  2. Results suggested that RKIP may inhibit the TNF-alpha-induced expression of adhesion molecules in MOVACs through inactivation of the NF-kappaB pathway. PMID: 28983072
  3. findings report that RKIP preferentially regulates the TLR3-mediated immune response in macrophages; phosphorylation of RKIP serine 109 is required for RKIP to promote TLR3-mediated signaling and inflammation PMID: 28411188
  4. The authors report that Raf kinase inhibitory protein (RKIP) is essential for TBK1 activation and type I interferon production triggered by viral infection. PMID: 27753621
  5. RKIP contributes to colitis development by promoting inflammation and mediating intestinal epithelial cell apoptosis. PMID: 26801887
  6. RKIP knockdown promotes ERK1 and PPAR gamma activation during adipogenesis. PMID: 27470585
  7. this study shows that didymin ameliorates hepatic injury through up-regulating RKIP expression PMID: 27912149
  8. overexpression of RKIP attenuated microglia inflammation through inhibiting the NF-kappaB signaling pathway in erythrocyte lysis-treated BV2 cells. PMID: 27262809
  9. Overexpression of RKIP inhibits retinal ganglion cells apoptosis and promotes axonal regeneration after optic nerve crush. PMID: 26160696
  10. RKIP overexpression increases cardiac contractility mediated by the beta1-adrenoceptor. RKIP deficiency exaggerates pressure overload-induced cardiac failure. RKIP is upregulated in heart failure. PMID: 26479924

  12. These findings suggest that in addition to its known metastasis suppressor activity, RKIP may promote tumor progression through enhancing tumor initiation. PMID: 25327941
  13. Epigenetic Pebp1 inactivation may affect activation of ERK, and it could impair spermatogenesis of mice. PMID: 24198121
  14. The concomitant depletion of RKIP can rescue the compromised ERK activation and cell proliferation through a Raf-1-dependent mechanism. PMID: 23416466
  15. RKIP is necessary for the exaggerated production of IFN-gamma from Systemic inflammatory response syndrome splenocytes. PMID: 23761631
