Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Because S100A10 induces the dimerization of ANXA2/p36, it may function as a regulator of protein phosphorylation in that the ANXA2 monomer is the preferred target (in vitro) of tyrosine-specific kinase.
Gene References into Functions
  1. p11KO male mice showed lower conditioned place preference than WT. In females there were no CPP differences between p11KO and WT. PMID: 26990537
  2. p11 might be a potential regulator on 5-HTR1b and 5-HTR4 as well as a predictor of or a therapeutic target for IFN-alpha-induced depression. PMID: 26821757
  3. data indicate that focal inhibition of p11 action in the dorsal striatum could be a promising PD therapeutic target to improve motor function while reducing l-dopa-induced dyskinesias PMID: 26787858
  4. p11 homeostasis in the NAc, particularly in dopamine receptor-1 expressing medium spiny neurons, may underlie pathophysiological mechanisms of cocaine rewarding action. PMID: 24725970
  5. The level of hippocampal p11 determines the directionality of 5-HT(1B)R action on emotional memory processing and modulates hippocampal functionality. PMID: 23032875
  6. p11 and AnxA2 cooperate to create a unique binding pocket, but the optimal binding condition is not achieved without conformational changes associated with target binding. Upon interaction with the SMARCA3 peptide, both Asp60 in p11 and Ser12 in AnxA2 flip inward toward the peptide-binding groove, forming additional intermolecular hydrogen bonds. PMID: 23415230
  7. Lewis lung carcinoma or T241 fibrosarcoma growth was reduced in S100A10-deficient mice. S100A10 was required specifically for the migratory capability needed for macrophage tumor homing, a new rate-limiting step in tumor progression. PMID: 22042827
  8. An important role for S100A10 in the regulation of fibrinolysis and angiogenesis in vivo, suggesting that S100A10 plays a critical role in endothelial cell function. PMID: 21768297
  9. Data indicate that most p11 expressing cells in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum, & caudate-putamen express HTR1B or co-express HTR1B/HTR4, suggesting crucial role for p11 in modulating actions of serotonin via these receptor subtypes. PMID: 21300076
  10. The authors inferred that S100A10 may play an important role in transpenetration of Cryptococcus neoformans across the vascular endothelia. PMID: 21621598
  11. Voluntary physical activity, but not locked wheel exposure, induced a robust increase in hippocampal mature BDNF protein levels, as well as in p11 and tissue plasminogen activator mRNA expression PMID: 21371535
  12. data demonstrate that p11 levels are regulated by BDNF in vitro and in vivo and that the antidepressantlike effect of BDNF in two well-established behavioral models requires p11. PMID: 20591415
  13. Loss of S100A10 led to decrease in macrophage migration across the peritoneal membrane into the peritoneal cavity. PMID: 20424186
  14. p11, already known to traffic members of the voltage-gated sodium and potassium channel families as well as transient receptor potential and chloride channels, also plays a selective role in enhancing ASIC1a functional expression PMID: 16169854
  15. results of the present study indicate that the dynamic modulation of 5-HT1B receptor function by p11 may be involved in molecular adaptations occurring in neuronal networks that are dysfunctional in depression-like states PMID: 16400147
  16. Macrophage migration inhibitory factor is an important androgen-responsive proteins produced by Sertoli cells which might play a role in regulating spermatogenesis. PMID: 16751997
  17. A significant deficit in neuropathic pain behavior in mice with p11 deletion confirms an important role for p11 protein in nociceptor function. PMID: 17035534
  18. We have recently identified increased expression of p11 genes that implicate fibrinolysis in ALD progression. PMID: 18289715
  19. Within the endothelial cell, p11 is required for Src kinase-mediated tyrosine phosphorylation of A2, which signals translocation of both proteins to the cell surface. PMID: 18434302
  20. S100A10 mRNA and protein levels were significantly lower in the cultured ANXA2(-/-) cells than in cultured ANXA2(+/+) cells. PMID: 18608216
  21. S100a10 (p11) and 5-ht4 receptor cross-talking and cooexpression in brain regions play a role in major depression. PMID: 19211900
  22. S100a10 is expressed in corticospinal motor neurons within layer V of the cerebral cortex PMID: 15664173
