Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Regulator that plays a central role in regulation of apoptosis and transcription via its interaction with NF-kappa-B and p53/TP53 proteins. Inhibits p53/TP53 function, possibly by preventing the association between p53/TP53 and ASPP1 or ASPP2, and therefore suppressing the subsequent activation of apoptosis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. miR-182 plays an aggressive role in the cerebral ischemia injury, and this is associated with inhibited iASPP expression. PMID: 27242323
  2. iASPP expression may act as a predictive marker of prostate cancer progression. PMID: 25341046
  3. These data demonstrate that by interacting with desmoplakin and desmin, iASPP is an important regulator of desmosomal function both in vitro and in vivo. PMID: 25691752
  4. p53-mediated neuronal cell death after stroke can be nontranscriptionally regulated by a novel mechanism involving suppression of endogenous cell death inhibitors by miR-124. PMID: 23696548
  5. PPP1R13L has an essential role in embryonic eyelid closure as well in development of meibomian glands and the anterior segment of the eye PMID: 22928477
  6. These data showed iASPP to be a key regulator of epithelial homeostasis in skin. PMID: 21897369
  7. Inhibitor of apoptosis-stimulating protein of p53 (iASPP) prevents senescence and is required for epithelial stratification. PMID: 21930934
  8. Mice with mutation in Nkip1 (Ppp1r13l) represent a potentially important model for the analysis of the role of inflammatory processes in heart disease. PMID: 15661756
  9. Studies revealed that overexpression of PPP1R13L causes faster p53 degradation, a likely explanation for the depletion of p53. PMID: 19263435

Involvement in disease
Defects in Ppp1r13l are the cause of the waved 3 phenotype, a recessive mutation characterized by abnormalities of the heart and skin. Affected animals have open eyes at birth and hair abnormalities. They develop focal cardiac necrosis at an early age which progresses to fatal dilated cardiomyopathy. This is due to a 14-bp deletion which gives rise to a truncated protein.
Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus.
Protein Families
ASPP family
Tissue Specificity
Most abundant in skin with high levels also found in heart, testis and stomach. In E15.5 embryonic heart, expressed at higher levels in atria than ventricles.
