Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein which is abundant in auditory neurons.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Quantitative analysis of the transient changes in calretinin expression by hybridochemistry within neuronal cell populations in the hippocampus of a beta amyloid-treated rat model of Alzheimer's disease and their correlation with endocannabinoid increase PMID: 25813826
  2. A role for calreticulin in functioning of mitochondrial ATP-dependent potassium channel PMID: 25730969
  3. distribution of the cell-specific markers, calretinin and calbindin, in reelin-immunoreactive cells during postnatal rat and mouse neocortical development PMID: 24134921
  4. The stress of maternal deprivation has a significant effect on calretinin and calbindin expression in both male and female ratss, but affects glucocorticoid receptor levels only in males. PMID: 21835217
  5. An essential property of calretinin action potentials is a delayed equilibration with divalent calcium ions. PMID: 21394464
  6. study concludes that, in inner and outer enamel epithelial cells, Ca(2+)is regulated by calbindin, parvalbumin and calretinin during tooth development; in epithelial rests of Malassez of adult periodontal ligament, Ca(2+) is regulated only by calretinin PMID: 21080000
  7. CR mRNA production after TMT treatment could hypothetically be regarded as a compensatory phenomenon in developing rats. PMID: 11834306
  8. Calretinin-positive cells predominantly comprise caudally or locally projecting, possibly glutamatergic basal forebrain neurons PMID: 12577320
  9. CR-IR cells of the neostriatum are a distinct subclass of interneurons that are born at an intermediate time during striatal development and share common neurogenesis characteristics with other interneurons. PMID: 14730585
  10. These data clearly show that expression of CR gene in neurons and cancer cells is regulated by different mechanisms. On the other hand, in both cell types, the activity of CR gene promoter can be stimulated by zinc ions. PMID: 15093134
  11. In rats, calretinin-containing calyces were irregularly interspersed with calretinin-negative calyces and The percentage of calretinin-positive calyces increased during development, to about 75% and 20% at P30 PMID: 15355314
  12. Data show that virtually all newly produced striatal neurons are calretinin (CR)-immunoreactive (+), but not DARPP-32(+), calbindin-D-28K(+), parvalbumin(+), somatostatin(+), or choline acetyltransferase(+). PMID: 18720478
