Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
GABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain, mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the GABA/benzodiazepine receptor and opening an integral chloride channel.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data suggest that GABA(A) receptor subunits (alpha-1 and beta-3) are able to form homologous receptors with either delta (extrasynaptic) or gamma-2 subunits (synaptic); allosteric modulation appears similar in the presence of agonist etomidate. PMID: 24199598
  2. pregnancy may provoke perturbations in gamma oscillatory activity through direct effects on the GABAergic system, and underscore the importance of delta-GABA(A)Rs homeostatic plasticity in maintaining constant network output despite large hormonal changes. PMID: 24062647
  3. Expression of alpha4betadelta GABA receptors increases on the dendrites of CA1 pyramidal cells at the onset of puberty in the hippocampus, part of the limbic circuitry which governs emotion. PMID: 23079628
  4. Adolescent female rats exhibiting activity-based anorexia express elevated levels of GABAA receptor delta subunit at the plasma membrane of hippocampal CA1 spines PMID: 22213233
  5. CCI caused a 194% and 127% increase of delta protein in the hippocampi of the controlled cortical impact group compared to control and post-traumatic epilepsy groups, respectively. PMID: 21439793
  6. Data show that Cbln1 and Cbln2, but not Cbln4, specifically bind to neurexin 1alpha and -beta and induce synaptogenesis in cerebellar, hippocampal and cortical neurons in vitro. PMID: 21395866
  7. demonstrated the expression of delta-subunit containing GABA(A) receptors capable of mediating a tonic inhibitory Cl(-) current PMID: 21298071
  8. These results provide strong evidence that extrasynaptic delta-subunit-containing GABA(A) receptors in the medial shell of the nucleus accumbens are critical for the reinforcing effects of oral ethanol. PMID: 21368141
  9. Internalization of the GABA(A) receptor delta subunit has not been studied in the past. These results suggest that rate of intracellular accumulation of the delta subunit was distinct and modulated by BDNF PMID: 19665523
  10. conclude that receptors can accumulate in slowly equilibrating desensitized states during repetitive receptor activation; results may indicate role for slow phases of desensitization for synaptic function under conditions of repeated receptor activation PMID: 12356876
  11. Low pH enhances Gaba A delta receptor steady-state currents by modifying GABA(A) receptor gating properties. PMID: 15152020
  12. Increased expression of GABA(A) receptor delta subunit in the interneurones of the periaqueductal gray matter could render the panic circuitry abnormally excitable by disinhibiting ongoing GABAergic inhibition. PMID: 15708482
  13. Chronic exposure to and withdrawal of progesterone induce differential effects on both expression of the delta subunit of GABA(A) receptors. PMID: 16879715
  14. These data suggest that inhibition of GABA transmission in the NAc is related to METH behavioral sensitization, whereas activation of GABA transmission in the caudate is associated with METH-induced neurotoxicity. PMID: 17056007
  15. delta-subunit-containing GABA(A) receptors may play a role in chronic ethanol-induced tolerance and dependence PMID: 17854781
  16. Atomic force microscopy reveals the stoichiometry and subunit arrangement of the Gabrd receptor. PMID: 18079275
  17. This is the first study implicating the delta-subunit containing extrasynaptic GABA(A) receptors in perifornical lateral hypothalamus in control of sleep-wakefulness in freely behaving rats. PMID: 18406065
