Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Outward rectifying potassium channel. Produces rapidly activating and non-inactivating outward rectifier K(+) currents. Activated by arachidonic acid and other naturally occurring unsaturated free fatty acids.
Gene References into Functions
  1. strong immunoreactivity of TRAAK, TREK-1 and TREK-2 channels was present mainly in small-sized dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons of rats. PMID: 29980241
  2. Data do not suggest a relevant impact of miRNA expression patterns on the pharmacoresponsiveness of temporal lobe epilepsy; but confirmed the regulation of the previously described miRNA-187-3p and demonstrated that its regulation can exert an impact on the expression of the two-pore domain potassium channel protein KCNK10/TREK-2. PMID: 27609046
  3. Up-regulation of TREK-2 potassium channels in cultured astrocytes requires de novo protein synthesis.TREK-2 channels are up-regulated in the astrocytic membrane during ischemia. PMID: 25886567
  4. KCNK10 contributes to the regulation of MCE through the control of C/EBPbeta and C/EBPdelta expression and insulin signaling. PMID: 25501330
  5. We conclude that TREK2 hyperpolarizes IB4 binding C-nociceptors and limits pathological spontaneous pain. PMID: 24453337
  6. In the dorsal horn of the developing rat, KCNK10 mRNA was decreased in mature compared with developing rats. PMID: 23219908
  7. These results suggest that baicalein- and wogonin-induced TREK-2 activation help set the resting membrane potential of cells exposed to pathological conditions and thus may give beneficial effects in neuroprotection. PMID: 21306568
  8. is functionally expressed in cortical astrocytes in culture, and may be involved in K+ homeostasis of astrocytes during pathological states PMID: 11897089
  9. TREK-2 is a temperature-sensitive channel active at physiological body temperature, and therefore would contribute to the background K+ conductance and regulate cell excitability in response to various physical and chemical stimuli. PMID: 15677687
  10. Agonist-induced inhibition of TREK-2 via muscarinic M(3) receptor occurs primarily via PKC-mediated phosphorylation. PMID: 16672694
  11. TREK-2 exhibits two primary modes of gating that give rise to two channel phenotypes under dephosphorylated conditions and its phosphorylation shifts the gating mode to include intermediate conducting levels. PMID: 17540699
  12. The small and large conductance TREK-2 channels are produced as a result of alternative translation initiation, producing isoforms with long and short N-termini. The distal half of the N-terminus controls the unitary conductance. PMID: 18845607
  13. Results indicate a novel action mode in which norepinephrine depresses neuronal excitability in the entorhinal cortex by disinhibiting protein kinase A-mediated tonic inhibition of TREK-2 channels. PMID: 19244246
  14. present results revealed that TREK-1, TREK-2 and TRAAK channels colocalized with thermosensitive TRP channels in some small trigeminal ganglion neurons PMID: 19429069
  15. Compared the properties of cloned TREK-2 with large-conductance background K+ channels. PMID: 19439530
  16. GABA(B) receptor-mediated inhibition in the EC was mediated via activating TREK-2, a type of two-pore domain K(+) channels, and required the functions of inhibitory G proteins and protein kinase A pathway. PMID: 19640481
