Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other events in the brain.
Gene References into Functions
  1. THY1 is expressed in the anterior lobe of the rat pituitary gland.THY1 is a novel specific marker of thyrotropes, which produce TSH. PMID: 27765629
  2. Thymocyte antigen 1 (Thy-1) is a highly expressed cell-surface protein in lung fibroblasts, which plays a key role in fetal alveolarization by coordinating the differentiation and lipid homeostasis of alveolar lipid containing fibroblasts. PMID: 24374733
  3. first report that Thy1 colocalizes and coimmunoprecipitates with a membrane-spanning protein in retina, that Thy1 complexes with an ion channel protein in any tissue, and that a GPI-anchored protein associates with an HCN channel subunit protein. PMID: 22281825
  4. Study is the first to demonstrate a functional link between alphavbeta3 integrin and P2X7 receptors, and to reveal an important, hitherto unanticipated, role for P2X7 in calcium-dependent signaling required for Thy-1-stimulated astrocyte adhesion. PMID: 21502139
  5. Epigenetic regulation of thy-1 by histone deacetylase inhibitor in rat lung fibroblasts. PMID: 20724553
  6. The Thy1-GFP rat is a novel transgenic tool that enables direct visualization of facial nerve regeneration after injury. PMID: 20855773
  7. Thy-1 is a good marker for characterizing osteoprogenitor cells. PMID: 20124093
  8. Thy1 regulates fibroblast focal adhesions. cytoskeletal organization and migration through modulation of p190 RhoGap and Rho GTPase activity. PMID: 15093746
  9. Thy-1-induced morphological changes in astrocytes requires rhoA activation and integrin aggregation PMID: 15220352
  10. Thy-1 expression is developmentally regulated and is closely associated with the functional maturation of dorsal root ganglia neurons during both postnatal development and nerve regeneration PMID: 15547945
  11. Critical epitope detected by 1-22-3 in this study may play an important role in mesangial function and injury. PMID: 15569310
  12. We revealed that TCRalphabeta-dependent stages of T-cell development are affected by ageing, most likely due to an impaired expression of Thy-1 on TCRalphabeta(low) thymocytes entering selection processes. PMID: 16632291
  13. These data indicate that Thy-1 regulates myogenic gene expression, myofibroblastic differentiation, and survival in lung fibroblasts. PMID: 16960126
  14. results demonstrate that cardiac fibroblasts express Thy-1 and form a homogeneous population; Thy-1 expression also appears to be independent of fibroblast differentiation PMID: 17395197
  15. anti-Thy-1 antibody activates the c-Src kinase-MEK-cyclic AMP response-element binding protein cascade PMID: 17486586
  16. Enriched Thy-1(+) ED14 fetal liver cells proliferate and repopulate the liver only after extensive liver injury and represent a fetal hepatic progenitor cell population distinct from Thy-1(-) stem/progenitor cells, which repopulate the normal adult liver. PMID: 17647294
  17. Thy-1 is not a marker of oval cells but is present on a subpopulation of myofibroblasts/stellate cells. PMID: 17884967
  18. Thy-1(+) cells in the oval cell niche during liver regeneration are activated mesenchymal-epithelial cells that are distinct from resident stellate cells, myofibroblasts, and oval cells. PMID: 19575449
