Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
GTP-binding protein involved in protein trafficking; may modulate vesicle budding and uncoating within the Golgi apparatus. Recruits polyadenylate-binding protein PAB1 to COPI vesicles, and this is required for correct localization of the asymmetrically distributed ASH1 mRNA.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Arf1 and the exomer cargo adaptor coordinate cargo sorting into subset of secretory vesicle carriers in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Here, we detail the assays we used to explore the cooperative action of Arf1 and exomer to bind and remodel membranes. PMID: 27632000
  2. The DCB/HUS domain amplifies the ability of Sec7 to activate Arf1 on the membrane surface by facilitating membrane insertion of the Arf1 amphipathic helix. PMID: 26765562
  3. Arf1 is involved in mitochondrial homeostasis and dynamics, independent of its role in vesicular traffic. PMID: 25190516
  4. Study demonstrates V-ATPase interacts with two distinct GTPases, Arf1 and Gtr1, which are required for Ras and TORC1 activation, respectively. PMID: 25002144
  5. Study determined the structure of Arf1 bound to the gammazeta-COP subcomplex of coatomer; and finds that betadelta/gammazeta-COP interacts with two molecules of Arf1-GTP, which bind to quasi-equivalent sites on the large beta-COP and gamma-COP subunits. PMID: 22304919
  6. nucleosome shielding is the primary means to maintain promoter fidelity, and histone replacement is most efficiently mediated in yeast cells by a HIR/Asf1/H3-H4/Rtt106 pathway. PMID: 22128187
  7. Here we demonstrate that Trs65p directly binds to the C-terminus of the Arf1p exchange factor Gea2p and provide in vivo evidence that this interaction is physiologically relevant PMID: 21813735
  8. Arf1p has a role in linking COPI vesicles and mRNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae PMID: 15356266
  9. Arf1p and Erv14p cooperate to recruit the golgin Rud3p to the cis-Golgi PMID: 15504911
  10. COPI in these mutants is released from Golgi membranes by brefeldin A, a drug that binds directly to guanine nucleotide exchange factor for ADP ribosylation factors and blocks Arf1 activation PMID: 15930122
  11. ScARF1 and ScARF3 are the yeast orthologs of mammalian ARF1 and ARF6 and have roles in the control of peroxisome proliferation PMID: 16100119
