Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Growth factor active in angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth. Induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits apoptosis and induces permeabilization of blood vessels. Binds to the FLT1/VEGFR1 and KDR/VEGFR2 receptors, heparan sulfate and heparin. Binding to NRP1 receptor initiates a signaling pathway needed for motor neuron axon guidance and cell body migration, including for the caudal migration of facial motor neurons from rhombomere 4 to rhombomere 6 during embryonic development.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data show that both short- and long-term exposure to high-altitude conditions decreased luteal growth and IGF-I and IGF-II gene expression but increased HIF-1 alpha and VEGF immunoexpression. PMID: 23521851
  2. The objective of the study was to determine the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A), tyrosine kinase receptors Flt-1 and KDR and KDR co-receptor neuropilin 1 (NRP-1) in ovine choroid plexus during different photoperiods. PMID: 22622803
  3. In this model of smoke inhalation and pneumonia induced acute lung injury, overexpression of VEGF in lung tissue occurred, potentially contributing to increased transvascular fluid and protein flux. PMID: 22647495
  4. Arterial smooth muscle cells are organized into lamina of similar phenotype with characteristics that depend on the position between the lumen and the adventitia and involve the direct effects of VEGF on smooth muscle in an age-dependent manner. PMID: 21653901
  5. This demonstrates the importance of adaptation of cell signaling over endothelial nitric oxide synthase expression in pregnancy adaptation of uterine endothelial function and further implicates VEGF-A in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia. PMID: 21239633
  6. VEGF-A expression showed a clear trend of increasing levels, but these did not reach significant differences in the chronic heart failure group compared to the control group. PMID: 21092039
  7. observations support the hypothesis that vascular endothelial growth factor A regulates amniotic fluid transport across the amnion by stimulating caveolin-1 activity to mediate caveolar function in amnion cells PMID: 20720263
  8. These findings indicate that outside stenting of the vein graft decreases VEGF-A expression and induces significant down-regulation of VEGFR-1 in the intima and media after the re-endothelialization. PMID: 20190677
  9. The pattern of the rise in NOx in circulating plasma was not directly associated with changes in VEGF regardless of the number of fetuses present. PMID: 15774525
  10. it was concluded that vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is likely to promote fetal lung expansion-induced endothelial cell proliferation PMID: 16930512
  11. Intrauterine pulmonary hypertension(PPHN) causes reduced pulmonary artery endothelial cell(PAEC) growth and tube formation and down-regulation of VEGF and eNOS. VEGF and NO enhanced growth and tube formation of PPHN PAECs. PMID: 17823355
  12. Reduced fetal and placental weights in twins and/or triplet pregnancies are associated with an overall decrease in total placental vascularity, VEGF and FGF2 and/or FGFR protein expression. PMID: 18392787
