Beclin-2 is a protein in humans that is encoded by the BECN2 gene. The BECN2 protein is involved in 2 distinct lysosomal degradation pathways, acting as a regulator of autophagy and a regulator of G-protein coupled receptors turnover. It also regulates degradation in lysosomes of a variety of G-protein coupled receptors via its interaction with GPRASP1/GASP1.
