Heterodimeric geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate synthase large subunit 1, chloroplastic
Short name= GGPP synthase 1
Short name= GGPS1
(2E,6E)-farnesyl diphosphate synthase 1
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Heterodimeric geranyl(geranyl)-diphosphate (GPP) synthase large subunit. In vitro, the large subunit catalyzes mainly the trans-addition of the three molecules of IPP onto DMAPP to form geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate while the small subunit alone is inactive. Upon association of the two subunits, the product profile changes and the production of gerany-diphosphate is strongly increased.
