Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Anti-apoptotic protein which acts by inhibiting the activities of CASP3, CASP7 and CASP9. Can inhibit the autocleavage of pro-CASP9 and cleavage of pro-CASP3 by CASP9. Capable of inhibiting CASP9 autoproteolysis at 'Asp-315' and decreasing the rate of auto proteolysis at 'Asp-330'. Acts as a mediator of neuronal survival in pathological conditions. Prevents motor-neuron apoptosis induced by a variety of signals.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Naip1 is uniquely required to detect T3SS needle protein and Naip2 is uniquely required to detect T3SS inner rod protein, but neither Naip1 nor Naip2 is required for detection of flagellin. PMID: 27045008
  2. These results provide definitive genetic evidence for the important physiological function of NAIPs in antibacterial defense and inflammatory damage-induced lethality in mice. PMID: 27114610
  3. An epithelium-intrinsic defense axis recruits NAIP and the NLRC4 inflammasome to promote removal of epithelial cells compromised by pathogen invasion. PMID: 25121751
  4. NAIP/NLRC4 oligomerize, assembling inflammasomes, in the presence of their cognate bacterial ligands. PMID: 24657167
  5. In this study, the the type III secretion system needle protein protein is identified as the agonist for the orphan murine NAIP1 receptor PMID: 24043898
  6. /NAIP1 and NAIP2/5 formed a large oligomeric complex with NLRC4 in the presence of corresponding bacterial ligands, and could support reconstitution of the NLRC4 inflammasome in a ligand-specific manner. PMID: 23940371
  7. NAIP transcripts are present in the brain and spinal cord of stage E9.5-E14.5 embryos, and in the embryonic branchial arches, nasal epithelium, the future digits, and (at E16.5) in the lateral ventricle, vibrissae follicles, retina, and intestinal villi. PMID: 11930148
  8. systemic administration of kainic acid rapidly elevates expression of mRNA encoding neuronal apoptosis inhibitor protein (NAIP) in the hippocampus and that this increase does not occur in mice that lack TNF receptors. PMID: 15046874
  9. Akt-regulated expression of NAIP-1 counters Abeta-dependent neuronal cell death PMID: 15797869
  10. Powerful effects of PAX2 on renal branching morphogenesis and final nephron number may be mediated by activation of Naip which then suppresses apoptosis in ureter bud cells. PMID: 16735463
  11. Multiple, domesticated long terminal repeats (LTRs) of endogenous retroviral elements provide NAIP promoter function in human, mouse, and rat. PMID: 17222062
  12. a role for NAIP in increasing the survival of cells undergoing terminal differentiation as well as the possibility that the protein serves as an intestinal pathogen recognition protein was suggested PMID: 17510375
