Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Actin-depolymerizing protein. Severs actin filaments (F-actin) and binds to actin monomers (G-actin). Acts in a pH-independent manner.
Gene References into Functions
  1. AGEs treatment increased endothelial permeability and reduced vasculogenic property of MBMECs, at least in part, via downregulation of ADF. PMID: 28378130
  2. Dstncorn1 mice are homozygous for a spontaneous null actin depolymerizing factor destrin (DSTN) allele, which results in an increase in serum response factor (Srf) expression. This study performs identification of functional pathways associated with the conditional ablation of serum response factor in Dstn corn1 mice. PMID: 27922676
  3. Actin depolymerizing factor/cofilin double mutant mice exhibited hyperlocomotion, impulsivity, and impaired working memory. Hyperlocomotion and impulsive behavior were reversed by methylphenidate. PMID: 24768258
  4. SRF binding is significantly decreased in the destrin (corn1) mutant cornea. PMID: 24550211
  5. A single QTL is responsible for modification of neovascularization in the Dstn null mutation mouse. PMID: 23929036
  6. findings identify actin-depolymerizing factor (ADF) as a key signaling molecule in the regulation of BBB integrity and suggest that ADF might be used as a target to modulate diseases accompanied by ox-LDL-induced BBB compromise. PMID: 22926402
  7. n-cofilin can compensate for the loss of ADF in excitatory synapses. ADF and n-cofilin cooperate in controlling synaptic actin content PMID: 22046357
  8. Results indicate that ADF activity, provided by either cofilin1 or destrin, is essential in UB epithelial cells for normal growth and branching. PMID: 21060807
  9. Findings show that ADF/n-cofilin-null MKs develop significantly fewer proplatelets. PMID: 20530287
  10. Developmentally regulated actin filament depolymerizing factor expression in the cochlea suggests a temporally restricted function in the stereocilia and a hitherto undescribed role of ADF. PMID: 20235171
  11. Destrin deletion has differential effects on spontaneous hem- and lymphangiogenesis in the normally avascular cornea. PMID: 15855638
  12. Dstn mutations and resultant actin dynamics abnormalities have a strong impact on the gene expression profile in vivo. PMID: 18381839
  13. Epithelial homeostasis of adult green fluorescent protein-Dstn(corn1) corneas is abnormal, mimicking that of a normal conjunctiva or a pathological, conjunctivalized cornea. PMID: 18958303
