Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor on natural killer (NK) cells for class I MHC.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Furthermore, Ly49/MHC-I interactions are diffusion-controlled and enthalpy-driven. PMID: 27831490
  2. Ly49H has a role in antiviral activity. PMID: 23666294
  3. Signaling through the Ly49H receptor is necessary to induce transient Ly49H-mediated natural killer (NK) cell tolerance during chronic viral infection. PMID: 21263069
  4. m157 gene(G1F)-Ly49C interactions cause no apparent attenuating effect on clearance of murine cytomegalovirus from natural killer (NK) cells. PMID: 21187440
  5. In mouse cytomegalovirus(MCMV)-resistant mice, the viral m157 protein engages a related activating receptor (Ly49H) and confers host protection PMID: 11950999
  6. Genetic control of innate immune responses against cytomegalovirus can be attributed to a single genetic locus termed Cmv1. PMID: 12140743
  7. Natural killer cells in New Zealand White mice apparently use a Cmv1-independent mechanism controlled through multiple genes to limit murine cytomegalovirus infection. PMID: 15528370
  8. m157 mutations are predicted to alter the conformation of a putative m157 interface with Ly49H, one that relies on the position of a critical alpha0 helix of m157 PMID: 18566392
  9. transgenic mice were more susceptible to MCMV infection and were unable to reject m157-Tg bone marrow, suggesting defects in Ly49H(+) NK cells PMID: 18606857
  10. Ly49h is necessary for genetic resistance to murine cytomegalovirus. PMID: 18668236
  11. Ly49H-positive natural killer (NK) cells contain a systemic production of cytokines that may contribute to murine cytomegalovirus-induced pathology and play a central role in maintaining normal spleen cell microarchitecture. PMID: 18941230
  12. Optimal natural killer cell-mediated immunity to cytomegalovirus depends on Ly49H signaling through DAP10 and DAP12. PMID: 19332875
  13. Ly49H-regulated NK-cell control of murine CMV infection is dependent on pfp-mediated cytolysis. PMID: 19564888
  14. NK cell expansion is increased through an Ly49H-dependent pathway to promote alternative beneficial effects. PMID: 19720840
