Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Transcription factor. Activates the epsilon- and gamma-globin gene promoters and, to a much lower degree, the beta-globin gene and represses promoters containing SP1-like binding sites inhibiting cell growth. Represses transcription of SMAD7 which enhances TGF-beta signaling. Induces apoptosis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Consistent with loss of Klf11-mediated activation, lesions in Klf11-/- animals were associated with progressive fibrosis and decreased Drd2 expression. PMID: 28372535
  2. Using a sterile peritonitis model, fibrosis selectively developed in Klf11-/- females. Fibrosis in these animals was almost completely abrogated by ovariectomy. Ovariectomized animals were selectively supplemented with estradiol, medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), or dihydrotestosterone; fibrosis was only observed in mice exposed to MPA. PMID: 28938437
  3. TGFbeta and KLF11 mediate critical, translationally relevant host and lesion-driven responses that enable establishment and progression of endometriosis. PMID: 27384304
  4. Results suggest a role for KLF11 in upregulating MAO-A in depressive disorder and chronic social stress, suggesting that inhibition of the pathways regulated by this transcription factor may aid in the therapeutics of neuropsychiatric illnesses PMID: 25502632
  5. Data show that the major phenotype given by the whole-body deletion of Kruppel-like factor 11 (Klf11) is not diabetes but increased insulin sensitivity. PMID: 26248217
  6. Loss of KLF11 expression is associated with hyperglycemia in Type 2 diabetes. PMID: 24586865
  7. this study revealed a new role for the KLF11 gene in the mechanisms underlying the antinociceptive effects of chronic ethanol exposure PMID: 24428663
  8. KLF11 is a critical transcription factor in the function of mesenchymal cells and, specifically, as a negative regulator of collagen secretion. PMID: 24069400
  9. Taken together, our findings identify a novel anti-hypertrophic and anti-fibrotic role of KLF11, and KLF11 activator may serve as candidate drug for heart failure patients. PMID: 24333413
  10. Overexpression of KLF11 in the livers of diabetic and obese mice activates the PPARalpha signaling pathway, subsequently markedly improving the fatty liver phenotype. Knockdown of KLF11 increases hepatic triglycerides. PMID: 23183531
  11. Data identify a novel pathogenic role for KLF11 in preventing de novo disease-associated fibrosis in endometriosis. PMID: 23555910
  12. Recruitment of KLF11 as a novel co-regulator (with peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor PPARgamma) plays a critical role in cerebrovascular protection after ischemic insults. PMID: 23408111
  13. Kruppel-like factor-11, a transcription factor involved in diabetes mellitus, suppresses endothelial cell activation via the nuclear factor-kappaB signaling pathway. PMID: 23042817
  14. KLF11 is an MAO A regulator and is produced in response to neuronal stress, which transcriptionally activates MAO A. PMID: 22628545
  15. an important role for KLF11 in the regulation of INS transcription via the novel c.-331 KLF site. PMID: 21592955
  16. the expression of TIEG1 and TIEG2 was specific in different organs yet varied with different developmental time points. PMID: 20201061
  17. KLF11 is downregulated in human cancers, inhibits cell growth in vitro and in vivo, and suppresses neoplastic transformation PMID: 12970187
  18. results from genetic knockout suggest that KLF11 is not absolutely required for hematopoiesis, growth, and development PMID: 15607700
  19. Tieg3/Klf11 is a downstream mediator of TGF-beta-induced apoptosis in the oligodendroglial cell line OLI-neu by transcriptional repression of Smad7 PMID: 18189266
