Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Regulatory subunit of Kv4/D (Shal)-type voltage-gated rapidly inactivating A-type potassium channels. Regulates channel density, inactivation kinetics and rate of recovery from inactivation in a calcium-dependent and isoform-specific manner. Modulates KCND2/Kv4.2 currents. In vitro, modulates KCND1/Kv4.1 currents. Increases the presence of KCND2 at the cell surface.
Gene References into Functions
  1. KChIP1 plays a neuroprotective role against 4-AP acute induced cell death in primary hippocampal cells through regulation of Kv 4.3 and GABA transmission but this is lost after long term exposure. PMID: 25917026
  2. This study demonistrared that the expression and function of KCHIP1 channels in neurons of the rat bed nucleus of the stria terminalis. PMID: 24037673
  3. KChIP1 is selectively expressed in BLA interneurons where it may function to regulate the activity of A-type potassium channels. Hence, KChIP1 might be considered as a specific regulator of GABAergic inhibitory circuits in the basolateral amygdala. PMID: 20849929
  4. Aph1b and KCnIP1 are significantly differentially expressed in a number of brain tissues of a schizophrenia model; KCnIP1 is an attractive novel candidate gene that may play a role in the complex phenotype PMID: 19896980
  5. hypothesis that occlusion of the inner vestibule of the Na(+) channel by the fast inactivation gate inhibits ultra-slow inactivation (mu1 sodium channel) PMID: 12138168
  6. The features of KChIP1b modulation of Kv4 channels are likely to be conserved in mammals and demonstrate a role for the KChIP1 NH2-terminal region in the regulation of closed inactivation gating. PMID: 12646414
  7. KChIP1 coassociates with Kv4 subunits in hippocampal membranes, confirming that the KChIPs are tightly associated with Kv4 subunits in native brain A-type channel complexes which may play a major role as modulators of somatodendritic excitability.. PMID: 15356203
  8. PUFAs inhibit Kv4/KChIP channels by facilitating inactivation from open and closed gating states and access of the fatty acid to the internal leaflet of the membrane is important PMID: 19261906
