Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
DNA- and RNA-binding protein involved in various processes, such as translational repression, RNA stabilization, mRNA splicing, DNA repair and transcription regulation. Predominantly acts as a RNA-binding protein: binds preferentially to the 5'-[CU]CUGCG-3' RNA motif and specifically recognizes mRNA transcripts modified by C5-methylcytosine (m5C). Promotes mRNA stabilization: acts by binding to m5C-containing mRNAs and recruiting the mRNA stability maintainer ELAVL1, thereby preventing mRNA decay. Component of the CRD-mediated complex that promotes MYC mRNA stability. Contributes to the regulation of translation by modulating the interaction between the mRNA and eukaryotic initiation factors. Plays a key role in RNA composition of extracellular exosomes by defining the sorting of small non-coding RNAs, such as tRNAs, Y RNAs, Vault RNAs and miRNAs. Probably sorts RNAs in exosomes by recognizing and binding C5-methylcytosine (m5C)-containing RNAs. Acts as a key effector of epidermal progenitors by preventing epidermal progenitor senescence: acts by regulating the translation of a senescence-associated subset of cytokine mRNAs, possibly by binding to m5C-containing mRNAs. Also involved in pre-mRNA alternative splicing regulation: binds to splice sites in pre-mRNA and regulates splice site selection. Also able to bind DNA: regulates transcription of the multidrug resistance gene MDR1 is enhanced in presence of the APEX1 acetylated form at 'Lys-6' and 'Lys-7'. Binds to promoters that contain a Y-box (5'-CTGATTGGCCAA-3'), such as MDR1 and HLA class II genes. Promotes separation of DNA strands that contain mismatches or are modified by cisplatin. Has endonucleolytic activity and can introduce nicks or breaks into double-stranded DNA, suggesting a role in DNA repair. The secreted form acts as an extracellular mitogen and stimulates cell migration and proliferation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Results show that follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) promotes an increase in the phosphorylation of Y-box-binding protein-1 (YB-1) on serine Ser(102) within 15 min that is maintained at significantly increased levels until approximately 8 h post treatment. PMID: 27080258
  2. YB-1 protein levels correlated with microglia phagocytic activity because its upregulation PMID: 26102006
  3. YB-1 is activated during the hepatic acute phase response. PMID: 22361279
  4. nm23-beta binds to YB-1 and inhibits MMP2 transcription PMID: 12010125
  5. Data show that Y box-binding protein-1 (YB-1) is a regulator of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) expression, and highlight PTP1B as a critical regulator of insulin- and cytokine-mediated signal transduction. PMID: 12554649
  6. may protect cells from p53-mediated apoptosis PMID: 12835324
  7. We suggest early expression of YB-1 promotes proliferation and migration of myoFbs, whereas prolonged expression may be responsible for scar formation. PMID: 16002047
  8. Nuclear YB1 selectively alters p53 activity, which may in part provide an explanation for the correlation of nuclear YB1 with drug resistance and poor tumor prognosis. PMID: 16158057
  9. YB-1 is the main target of interferon-gamma signaling via Jak1 that exerts antifibrotic action by both interference with TGF-beta signaling and direct down-regulation of collagen expression. PMID: 16278212
  10. NSEP1 is an authentic selenocysteine insertion sequence binding protein that is structurally associated with the selenoprotein translation complex and functionally involved in the translation of selenoproteins in mammalian cells PMID: 16508950
  11. study demonstrates that YB-1 is predominantly expressed in neurons in the adult brain of rats, macaques and humans; doesn't co-localize with Glut-1 and P-glycoprotein. PMID: 19323802
  12. YB-1 has an apparent stimulatory effect on c-Raf, MEK1/2, ERK1/2 and cell-cycle progression in messangial cells, after which activated ERK1/2 goes on to upregulate YB-1 expression and augment the proliferative effect of YB-1. PMID: 19590238
