Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Required for the uptake of creatine. Plays an important role in supplying creatine to the brain via the blood-brain barrier.
Gene References into Functions
  1. CXCL12 contributes to cholinergic gene expression via Akt signaling pathway. PMID: 27941337
  2. TP is expressed at high levels in human GBM tumors and shRNA knockdown of TP in U87 GBM cells results in a significant increase in cellular GCL enzymatic activity PMID: 23824558
  3. The expression of CRT in cochlear tissues during development may reflect differential requirements for creatine-phosphocreatine buffering to replenish ATP consumed during energy-dependent metabolic processes. PMID: 22307408
  4. Creatine/creatine kinase circuit may play an important role in sustaining or exacerbating acute seizure activity, but not chronic epileptic discharge. PMID: 20979657
  5. plasma-membrane CRT is glycosylated and has an apparent monomer molecular mass of 58 kDa; furthermore, N-linked glycosylation is neither exclusively important for the function of CRT nor for surface trafficking, but affects both processes [CRT] PMID: 16167890
  6. The maturation-dependant alterations of CK and LDH isoenzyme activities and of mitochondrial oxidative capacity were paralleled by a progressive increase of creatine transporter (CrT) expression, creatine uptake kinetics and creatine content in the heart. PMID: 20569423
  7. AMPK inhibits apical membrane CRT/Slc6a8 expression in kidney proximal tubule cells, which could be important in reducing cellular energy expenditure and unnecessary creatine reabsorption under conditions of local and whole body metabolic stress. PMID: 20462973
  8. Current results constitute the first description of the presence of a functional CRT in the axon terminal membrane that may serve to recapture the creatine released during the synapsis. PMID: 19804817
  9. Data show that choline transporter-1 is restricted to motoneurons and absent from the non-neuronal ACh-synthesizing elements, and is enriched at neuro-neuronal and neuro-muscular synapses. PMID: 11904763
  10. Noncompetitive binding of alcohol to choline carriers from immature male tissue. PMID: 12675122
  11. CHT1 constitutively shuttles between plasma membrane and early endosomes; a CHT1 carboxyl-terminal tail dileucine-like motif mediates constitutive CHT1 endocytosis. PMID: 15953352
  12. Activity and subcellular trafficking of the sodium-coupled choline transporter CHT is regulated acutely by peroxynitrite. PMID: 17971421
  13. An influence of total Creatine on the brain's energy regulating system seems plausible. PMID: 18555535
  14. creatine transporter in the rat brain is mainly confined to neurones located principally in regions involved in motor and sensory processing and in learning, memory and limbic functions PMID: 19580854
  15. guanidinoacetate was transported from the circulating blood across the blood brain barrier most likely via a creatine transporter (CRT) PMID: 19682207
