Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Appears to be a negative regulator of type-1 angiotensin II receptor-mediated signaling by regulating receptor internalization as well as mechanism of receptor desensitization such as phosphorylation. May play a role of negative regulator in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy induced by angiotensin II through an inhibition of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. Attenuates type-1 angiotensin II receptor growth promoting effect and angiotensin II-induced phosphorylation of protein kinase AKT and of STAT3.
Gene References into Functions
  1. A single dose of angiotensin(17) at the same concentration as angiotensin II induced Agtrap gene expression. PMID: 26018598
  2. The expression of both angiotensin AGTRa and AGTR2 receptors was increased in the myocardium of overfed rats, and ischemia-reperfusion increased the expression of both receptors in control rats but reduced it in overfed rats. PMID: 23383303
  3. AT(1)-AB induces Ang II sensitivity. Our mechanistic study supports the existence of an "autoimmune-activating receptor" that could contribute to Ang II sensitivity and possible to preeclampsia. PMID: 21576625
  4. results suggest that the local renin-angiotensin system is activated in diabetic skin and Angiotensin II receptors type 1 and 2 are likely to mediate the pathological changes of diabetic skin PMID: 21484513
  5. These results show that adipocyte-derived angiotensin II is critically involved in perivascular adipose tissue-mediated potentiation of vasoconstriction in mesenteric arteries. PMID: 20156432
  6. Long-term selective Ang II blockade ameliorates insulin resistance in adipose tissue from a model of metabolic syndrome. PMID: 19901849
  7. The growth inhibitory effects of ATRAP might be due to interfering with angiotensin 1 receptor activation in vascular smooth muscle cell growth. PMID: 17441313
  8. ATRAP promotes internalization of AT1R and attenuates the angiotensin II-mediated c-fos-transforming growth factor-beta pathway and proliferative response in vascular smooth muscle cells, suggesting a strategy to inhibit vascular fibrosis and remodeling PMID: 17875818
  9. Angiotensin II distinctly upregulated TLR4 expression in the cells. PMID: 19471094
