Assay Principle
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human SERPINB5 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Target Background

(From Uniprot)
Tumor suppressor. It blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. data suggest that maspin inhibits high glucose-induced proliferation, oxidative stress, and angiogenesis of HRMECs at least by modulating the PI3K/AKT pathway. Maspin may be a potential therapeutic agent for the prevention and treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy. PMID: 29363056
