Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

TFF2 plays a critical role in mucosal protection and epithelial cell migration, making validated biological activity essential for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human TFF2, covering residues 24–129 of the mature protein, demonstrates an ED50 of less than 10 ng/ml in a chemotaxis bioassay using MCF-7 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg — confirming its suitability for cell migration assays, wound healing scratch assays, and other functional cell-based experiments. Produced in *E. coli* to yield a properly folded trefoil domain without glycosylation interference, this protein provides a suitable basis for receptor-binding studies and mechanistic investigations of mucosal repair pathways.
