Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May catalyze alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages involved in the expression of Lewis X/SSEA-1 and VIM-2 antigens.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This study suggests that baicalin facilitates endometrial reproduction via elevating FUT4 expression through Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway PMID: 25896022
  2. Demonstration for the first time that CD15 is expressed in non-neural stem-like cancer cells. PMID: 23797812
  3. alpha(1,3)-Fucosyltransferases FUT4 and FUT7 control murine susceptibility to thrombosis PMID: 23562273
  4. Functional PSGL-1 generated by basophil FT-IV/VII and its subsequent binding to L-selectin could be one of the essential steps required for initial basophil recruitment and the development of IgE-chronic allergic inflammation in mice. PMID: 23657464
  5. LRP1 is necessary for the differentiation of neural stem cells toward oligodendrocytes. However, this function is independent of LeX glycosylation. PMID: 23615909
  6. Findings suggest that Lewis X carbohydrates, which have so far been characterized as undifferentiation markers, actually operate as activators of the Notch signaling pathway for the maintenance of NSC stemness during brain development. PMID: 22645129
  7. undifferentiated embryonal cells were evident histologically and confirmed with two markers of pluripotency, namely OCT4 and SSEA-1 and these cells are highly mitotic PMID: 21651572
  8. Fucosyltransferase(Fut)-deficient (Fut1, Fut2 and Fut4) mice which lack LeX or LeY antigen are still fertile. PMID: 20876654
  9. FucT-IV is an important pathophysiologic mediator of renal ischemia reperfusion injury, structural damage, and neutrophil infiltration postischemia. PMID: 12193737
  10. Adult mouse subventricular zone stem cells express SSEA-1 and shed it into their environment, which aids their in vivo enrichment and identification. PMID: 12372282
  11. Expression levels of PECAM-1 and SSEA-1 in embryonic stem cells correlated closely with their pluripotency and/or their ability to incorporate into the epiblast of chimeric embryos. PMID: 14736812
  12. FT-IV and FT-VII are both important contributors to selectin-dependent eosinophil recruitment to the skin and may represent therapeutic targets for treating diseases in which eosinophil recruitment contributes to pathophysiology. PMID: 16127157
  13. LeX present on the surface of principle neural progenitors and secreted into their extracellular niche, may bind and present growth factors important for their proliferation and self-renewal. PMID: 16458284

  16. The expression of the antigens SSEA-1, SSEA-3, SSEA-4 and Le(Y) was examined on ovulated eggs, early embryos and blastocysts lacking either complex and hybrid N-glycans or core-1 derived O-glycans. PMID: 18773292
  17. CD138/syndecan-1 and SSEA-1 have roles in developing ciliary epithelium PMID: 18787210
