Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Induces sprouting in endothelial cells through an autocrine and paracrine action.
Gene References into Functions
  1. ANGPTL2 up-regulation in skeletal myocytes accelerates muscle atrophy, and exercise-induced attenuation of ANGPTL2 expression in those tissues may partially explain how exercise training prevents sarcopenia. PMID: 29191837
  2. Angptl2(-/-) in paraquat-treated mice attenuated acute lung injury progression by reducing the number of total cells, total leukocytes, neutrophils and macrophages in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and reducing inflammatory response through the inactivation of nuclear factor kappa B pathway. PMID: 29852175
  3. Kaempferol modulates the expression of ANGPTL2 to lessen the mastitis in mice. PMID: 29627690
  4. These results support the importance of ANGPTL2 in the stem cell niche in regulating stemness and epithelial wound healing in the intestine. PMID: 28043948
  5. we provide the first evidence for ANGPTL2 function in the acute ischemic brain. Infiltrated macrophage-derived ANGPTL2 enhanced inflammatory responses and was associated with severe brain tissue damage in the acute phase of ischemic stroke. PMID: 27861531
  6. Angptl2 deficiency in lung epithelial cells and resident alveolar macrophages causes severe lung fibrosis seen following bleomycin treatment, suggesting that ANGPTL2 derived from these cell types plays a protective role against fibrosis in lung. PMID: 27542805
  7. Angptl2 regulates not only adipose tissue metabolism but also bone metabolism PMID: 28285646
  8. findings suggest that macrophage-derived ANGPTL2 promotes an innate immune response in those cells by enhancing proinflammatory activity and NO production required to fight infection. PMID: 27402837
  9. Angptl2 might therefore represent a multistep regulator of CNV pathogenesis and serve as a new therapeutic target for age-related macular degeneration. PMID: 26839315
  10. ANGPTL2 promotes adipose tissue macrophage and T lymphocyte accumulation and leads to insulin resistance. PMID: 26132105
  11. It plays a role in tumor progression. PMID: 25090954
  12. Angptl2 induces proinflammatory responses in peritoneal macrophages and monocytes. PMID: 26435501
  13. In angptl2 knockdown mice, ACh-mediated endothelium-dependent vasodilation was greater than in WT mice. Lack of angptl2 expression limits the metabolic stress induced by a high-fat diet and maintains endothelial function in mice. PMID: 25128474
  14. knockdown of angptl2 may be protective against ANG II-induced cerebral endothelial dysfunction; it favors the production of NO increasing endothelial cell resistance to stress. PMID: 25527773
  15. Angptl2 expression was reduced in PHD3(-/-) bone-marrow-derived macrophages under stress conditions. PHD3 affects the production of Angptl2 and additionally influences the response toward this apoptosis-modulating factor. PMID: 24626957
  16. Angptl2-induced inflammation increases susceptibility to microenvironmental changes, allowing increased oxidative stress and decreased Msh2 expression. PMID: 24258150
  17. Endothelial cell-derived Angptl2 accelerates vascular inflammation by activating proinflammatory signaling in endothelial cells and increasing macrophage infiltration, leading to endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis progression. PMID: 24526691
  18. periodic expression of ANGPTL2 is regulated by a molecular clock PMID: 23469106
  19. Our findings demonstrated Angptl2 to be upregulated in corneal inflammation, and highlight that corneal hemangiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis may be driven by Angptk2 overexpression via macrophage infiltration and IL-1beta expression. PMID: 23702783
  20. These findings may provide insight into the molecular mechanisms of the increased expression of Angptl2 and TGF-beta1 in obesity. PMID: 23261458

  26. Data suggest that angiopoietin-like protein 2 (Angptl2) contributes to increased carcinogenesis and metastasis and represents a novel target to antagonize these pathologies. PMID: 22042794
  27. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha up-regulates Angptl2 mRNA expression via PI3K/Foxo1 pathway in adipocytes, which may be involved in obesity-induced inflammation and insulin resistance PMID: 21501655
