Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May play an important role in endothelial cell activation. May act as a nuclear transcription factor that negatively regulates the expression of cardiac genes.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The results suggest that CARP can protect against hypoxia-reperfusion induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis, possibly through increasing anti-apoptosis Bcl2 gene expression. PMID: 27713078
  2. Overexpression of Ankrd1 exacerbates pathological cardiac remodeling through the enhancement of cytosolic translocation of CARP and up-regulation of calcineurin. PMID: 25089522
  3. ANKRD1 modulates inflammatory responses in myoblasts through feedback inhibition of NF-kappaB signaling activity. PMID: 26102030
  4. ANKRD1 is important for the proper interaction of fibroblasts with a compliant collagenous matrix both in vitro and in vivo PMID: 25452119
  5. Overexpression of Ankrd1 exacerbates pathological cardiac dysfunction through enhancement of cardiomyocyte apoptosis mediated by the up-regulation of p53. PMID: 25511237
  6. ANKRD1, in association with factors such as nucleolin, represses MMP13 transcription. Ankrd1 deletion additionally relieved MMP10 transcriptional repression PMID: 24515436
  7. CARP attenuates cardiac hypertrophy, in which the ERK and TGF-beta pathways may be involved. Our findings highlight the significance of CARP as an anti-hypertrophic factor in therapy of cardiac hypertrophy PMID: 23227174
  8. CARP is expressed during adulthood in response to neurological stimuli, such as kainic acid-induced seizures. PMID: 20659433
  9. Data show that CARP specific expressed in mouse heart and mainly localized in the nucleus in rat cardiac primary cells. PMID: 19500504
  10. CARP mRNA expression is detected in an atherosclerotic lesion at the aortic valves of an APOE*3-Leiden mouse after 16 weeks of Western-type diet and is expressed in an intimal smooth muscle cell-rich lesion induced by carotid artery ligation. PMID: 12524226
  11. dData show that the composition of the titin N2A protein complex is altered in muscular dystrophy with myositis (MDM) by incorporation of CARP, a regulator of the Nkx-2.5-dependent signal pathway PMID: 14741210
  12. CARP could play a unique role in therapeutic angiogenesis during wound healing. PMID: 15632022
  13. CARP plays important structural and gene regulatory roles in skeletal muscle. PMID: 17392382
  14. CARP plays a role in skeletal muscle plasticity PMID: 19143834
