Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Transcription factor. Associated with the BAF SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex. Binds to the 5'-TGACCA-3' sequence motif in regulatory regions of target genes. May play a role in hematopoiesis. Essential factor in lymphopoiesis, required for B-cell formation in fetal liver. May function as a modulator of the transcriptional repression activity of NR2F2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Our studies define a mechanism for BCL11A in regulation of hematopoietic stem cell function PMID: 27653684
  2. Bcl11a enhancer-deleted mice, Bcl11a(Deltaenh), phenocopy the BCL11A-null state with respect to alterations of globin expression. PMID: 27707736
  3. data identify Ctip1 as a critical control over sensory cortex development PMID: 27100196
  4. Bcl11a haploinsufficiency in mice causes impaired cognition, abnormal social behavior, and microcephaly in accordance with the human phenotype PMID: 27453576
  5. deletion of Bcl11a alters the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell quiescence, self-renewal, and fate choice PMID: 26390863
  6. This study showed that the expression of Sema3c is increased in migrating Bcl11a-deficient neurons and that Bcl11a is a direct negative regulator of Sema3c transcription PMID: 26182416
  7. The results of this study support a role for CTIP1 on the specification of the Subcerebral Projection Neurons in layer 5 through the repression of TBR1 and the promotion of CTIP2 expression. PMID: 25972180
  8. BCL11A is an essential, lineage-specific factor that regulates plasmacytoid dendritic cell development, supporting a model wherein differentiation into pDCs represents a primed "default" pathway for common dendritic cell progenitors. PMID: 24591644
  9. Bcl11a controls Flt3 expression in early hematopoietic progenitors and is required for pDC development in vivo. PMID: 23741395
  10. BCL11A contains F/YSXXLXXL/Y motifs that mediate highly selective binding to the LBDs of orphan nuclear receptors NR2E1/TLX, NR2E3/PNR and the NR2F/COUP-TF family. These motifs are required for BCL11A/COUP-TFII-mediated repression of foetal globin genes and a lncRNA termed Bgl3. The motifs are conserved in other nuclear receptor cofactors such as NSD1, constituting a new signature motif related to LXXLL and the CoRNR box. PMID: 23975195
  11. Immunohistochemical staining of mouse brain showed strong expression of BCL11A in the cortical regions and also in the pyramidal cell layers in the CA1 and CA3 regions of the hippocampus. PMID: 23975195
  12. data support an important role for the KLF1-BCL11A axis in erythroid maturation and developmental regulation of globin expression PMID: 23361909
  13. Overexpression of Bcl2 and Mdm2, or p53 deficiency, rescues both lethality and proliferative defects in Bcl11a-deficient early B cells. PMID: 23230003
  14. BCL11A is required for silencing of gamma-globin expression in adult animals yet dispensable for red cell production; inactivation of BCL11A in sickle cell disease (SCD) transgenic mice corrects defects associated with SCD through HbF induction PMID: 21998251
  15. Bcl11a is essential for postnatal development and normal lymphopoiesis. PMID: 12717432
