Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Plays a role in the control of cell growth and differentiation. Promotes osteoblast cell differentiation and terminal mineralization.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Nell-1-haploinsufficient mice have normal skeletal development but undergo age-related osteoporosis, characterized by a reduction in osteoblast:osteoclast ratio and increased bone fragility. PMID: 26082355
  2. NELL-1570 has the potential to be used for cell-based or hormone-based therapy of bone regeneration. PMID: 25376942
  3. These results suggest that an oligomerization-induced conformational change in the C-terminal region of NELL1 is important for the efficient mediation of cell adhesion and spreading by NELL1. PMID: 24563467
  4. Nell-1 might play a role in ameloblast and odontoblast differentiation, secretion and mineralization of the extracellular enamel matrix, molar crown morphogenesis, as well as root formation during the entire development period. PMID: 23264108
  5. NELL-1 protein promotes cell adhesion in ST2 cells. PMID: 22807400
  6. The C-terminal region of NELL1 mediates osteoblastic cell adhesion through integrin alpha3beta1 PMID: 22728432
  7. data suggest Nell-1 is important growth factor for regulation of osteochondral differentiation regulating both Runx2 and Sox9 expression in calvarium. Nell-1 is required for normal craniofacial membranous and endochondral skeletal development. PMID: 22337375
  8. These studies suggest that Nell-1 is a potent anti-adipogenic agent. Moreover, Nell-1 signaling may inhibit adipogenic differentiation via a Hedgehog dependent mechanism. PMID: 21723263
  9. Nfatc2 likely plays an important role in Nell-1-mediated osteochondral differentiation in vitro and in vivo. PMID: 21611965
  10. Nell-1 supports continued osteoblastic differentiation and function in osteoblastic lineage cells during calvarial development. Nell-1 is a key functional, downstream mediator of Runx2 osteogenic activity. PMID: 20939017
  11. Nell1-deficient mice have reduced expression of extracellular matrix proteins causing cranial and vertebral defects PMID: 16537572
  12. Nell-1 reduced osterix-producing cells and increased bone sialoprotein, osteocalcin, and BMP-7 expression. PMID: 16936265
  13. A recessive, neonatal-lethal point mutation in the Nell1 gene causes cranial and skeletal defects. PMID: 16537572
