Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Sodium/bicarbonate cotransporter which plays an important role in regulating intracellular pH. Has been shown to act as a sodium/bicarbonate cotransporter in exchange for intracellular chloride. Has also been shown to act as a sodium/biocarbonate cotransporter which is not responsible for net efflux of chloride, with the observed chloride efflux being due to chloride self-exchange. Controls neuronal pH and may contribute to the secretion of cerebrospinal fluid. Reduces the excitability of CA1 pyramidal neurons and modulates short-term synaptic plasticity. Required in retinal cells to maintain normal pH which is necessary for normal vision. In the kidney, likely to mediate bicarbonate reclamation in the apical membrane of the proximal tubules.
Gene References into Functions
  1. finding show that somatodendritic expression of Slc4a10 undergoes neuron type- and input pathway-dependent regulation in adult brains PMID: 24905082
  2. We conclude that alternative transcription and splicing of Slc4a10 products are regulated in a tissue-specific manner. Our findings provide critical insights that will greatly influence the study of the physiology of NBCn2. PMID: 23409100
  3. Data indicate that sodium-driven chloride bicarbonate exchanger NCBE (Slc4a10) is strongly expressed in the mouse retina. PMID: 23056253
  4. Slc4a10 knockout is more deleterious to choroid plexus epithelium than aquaporin 1 (AQP1) knockout. PMID: 22357733
  5. Cloning of the NBCn2-A transcript demonstrates that it is dominant in the subcortex and medulla of mouse brain. PMID: 21439947
  6. NBCn2 is highly expressed in choroid plexus, cortex, molecular layer of cerebellum, hippocampus, and some specific regions of the brainstem. PMID: 20541593

  8. SLC4A10 gene product and NBCn1 both function as basolateral HCO3- entry pathways and that the SLC4A10 gene product may be responsible for the stilbene-sensitive Na+-HCO3- uptake that is essential for cerebrospinal fluid production. PMID: 14592810
  9. NCBE is expressed in the peripheral nervous system and in non-neuronal tissues as the choroid plexus, the dura, and some epithelia including the acid secreting epithelium of the stomach and the duodenal epithelium. PMID: 15567717
  10. most cases, hypoxia reduced NBCn1 levels by 20-50%, and NCBE levels by 15-40% in cerebral cortex, subcortex, cerebellum, and hippocampus, both after 14 and 28 days, and in both pups and adults. PMID: 17928512
  11. NCBE is present at the basolateral membrane of embryonic day 18 fetal and adult choroid plexus PMID: 18061361
