Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Stimulates renal phosphate reabsorption, and could therefore prevent hypercalcemia.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Latanoprost-induced reduction of intraocular pressure is mediated through the downstream signaling molecule STC-1. When used by itself, STC-1 exhibits ocular hypotensive properties. PMID: 28538979
  2. STC-1 maybe improve anti-inflammation, anti-oxidant and anti-apoptosis activities by affecting reactive oxygen species -mediated pathways, especially the phospho-modifications of the respective proteins, resulting in the increase of Superoxide dismutase and reduce of capase-3, p53, IL-6 and IFN-gamma. PMID: 27420048
  3. STC1 blunts bleomycin-induced rise in thrombin protein and activity, diminishes thrombin-induced signaling through PAR1 to ERK, and inhibits bleomycin-induced pneumonitis. PMID: 26640170
  4. Stanniocalcin 1 is expressed in thyroid side population cells and thyroid cancer cells. PMID: 25647164
  5. Mesenchymal stem cells correct inappropriate epithelial-mesenchyme relation in pulmonary fibrosis using Stc1. PMID: 25373521
  6. Stanniocalcin-1 inhibits renal ischemia/reperfusion injury via an AMP-activated protein kinase-dependent pathway. PMID: 25012175
  7. STC1 is an endogenous stress protein that may counteract LPS-induced lung injury by inhibiting the inflammatory cascade and inducing antioxidant and antiapoptotic mechanisms. PMID: 24685991
  8. critical for kidney tubular epithelial survival under physiologic conditions PMID: 24700878
  9. Remarkably, X-linked genes are not overexpressed in female Stc1(-/-) mice, revealing the existence of a mechanism(s) that can compensate for a persistent XCI deficiency to regulate X-linked gene expression. PMID: 25136103
  10. Overexpression of stanniocalcin-1 inhibits reactive oxygen species and renal ischemia/reperfusion injury. PMID: 22695329
  11. STC1 was not crucial for the development of ischemic tolerance triggered by hypoxic preconditioning, or for preserving blood-brain barrier integrity but may be involved in functional recovery after stroke. PMID: 23159313
  12. the inner medullary STC-1 gene is differentially regulated in rat and mouse by arginine vasopressin and angiotensin II PMID: 21867741
  13. Vascular endothelial growth factor-D stimulates endothelial cell VEGF-A, stanniocalcin-1, and neuropilin-2 and has potent angiogenic effects. PMID: 21474827
  14. STC-1 could have a role in salt and water balance as dehydration necessitates water conservation as well as controlled natriuresis and kaliuresis. PMID: 20540985
  15. the biological repertoires of STCs in mammals will be considerably larger than in fish and may not be limited to mineral metabolism PMID: 11832417
  16. STC1 is expressed in a time- and cell-specific manner and may play an autocrine/paracrine role during osteoblast development and bone formation PMID: 11897801
  17. STC-1 can affect calcium homeostasis, bone and muscle mass and structure, and angiogenesis PMID: 12193584
  18. Data characterize the STC receptor and the functional targeting of ligand and receptor to mitochondria. PMID: 12223480
  19. STC1 may play a selective modulatory role in angiogenesis, possibly serving as a "stop signal" or stabilizing factor contributing to the maturation of newly formed blood vessels PMID: 14500721
  20. role for mammalian STC1 in modulating the immune/inflammatory response in ureteric obstruction PMID: 14570698
  21. kinetics of upregulated STC-1 expression during adipogenesis was investigated in 3T3-LI cells PMID: 15149855
  22. These findings have thus shown that the mammary glands are indeed targeted by STC, even in the virgin state. PMID: 16150955
  23. Stc1 function is not essential for growth or reproduction in the mouse PMID: 16287871
  24. systemically derived STC-1 has important effects on mammary gland development and the transfer of serum-based triglycerides into milk and also has a role in maternal behavior PMID: 16772321
  25. Hypoxic preconditioning leads to neuroprotection through IL-6-mediated upregulation of stanniocalcin-1 expression. PMID: 17272771
