Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Acts as a co-chaperone for HSP90AA1. Mediates the association of the molecular chaperones HSPA8/HSC70 and HSP90.
Gene References into Functions
  1. In conclusion, STIP1 is upregulated in HCC and associated with poor clinical prognosis. Blocking STIP1 activity suppresses HCC cell growth, providing the rationale for STIP1 as a potential therapeutic target in HCC. PMID: 28887036
  2. Domains of STIP1 responsible for regulating PrPC-dependent amyloid-beta oligomer toxicity PMID: 27208175
  3. Reduced STIP1 levels can contribute to phenotypes related to hyperactivity and attention deficits. PMID: 26398952
  4. We correlate the expression of STI1 and glioma progression, and suggest that STI1 expression in microglia/macrophages and infiltrating lymphocytes is modulated by the brain tumor microenvironment. PMID: 25042352
  5. Knockdown of PIAS1 in astrocytes impairs the accumulation of nuclear STI1 in response to irradiation. Moreover, a PIAS1 mutant lacking the STI1 binding site is unable to increase STI1 nuclear retention. PMID: 23938469
  6. stress-inducible protein-1 has a role in recruitment of bone marrow derived cells into the ischemic brains PMID: 23836498
  7. Our findings reveal a previously unrecognized role of the PrP(C) ligand STI1 in protecting neurons in Alzheimer disease and suggest a novel pathway that may help to offset AbetaO-induced toxicity. PMID: 24133259
  8. Stress-inducible phosphoprotein 1 has unique cochaperone activity during development and regulates cellular response to ischemia via the prion protein. PMID: 23729591
  9. STI1 and laminin-gamma1 promote robust axonogenesis in wild-type dorsal root ganglia neurons; STI1 promotes extracellular calcium influx. PMID: 23145988
  10. Neuroprotection and neuritogenesis mediated by PrP(C)-STI1 engagement are dependent upon the increased protein synthesis mediated by PI3K-mTOR signaling. PMID: 20615969
  11. evaluated the temporal expression pattern of STI1 and Vn and their colocalization with their ligand PrPC, demonstrated that PrPC, STI1, and Vn are coexpressed in most of the embryonic tissues evaluated. PMID: 19760599
  12. Stress-inducible protein 1 is a cell surface ligand for cellular prion that triggers neuroprotection. The interaction sites were mapped to amino acids 113-128 from PrP(c) and 230-245 from STI1. Both proteins are associated in vivo. PMID: 12093732
  13. mSTI1 has a specific tetratricopeptide repeat motif that enables it to bind to HSC70 PMID: 12482845
  14. first evidence of nuclear import and export of major Hsp70/Hsp90 co-chaperone mSTI1, and the regulation of this nuclear-cytoplasmic shuttling by cell cycle status and cell cycle kinases PMID: 14754904
  15. These data are consistent with results established with a model where OR and N-terminal half of the HR mediate the action of STI1 upon cell survival and upregulation of SOD activity. PMID: 15670743
  16. Stress-inducible protein 1 added to hippocampal cultures interacts with cellular prion protein (PrPc) and elicits neuritogenesis in wild-type neurons, but not PrPc-null cells. PMID: 16339028
  17. This suggests an important role for Stip1 in the ability of germ cells to survive in stress conditions including high temperatures. PMID: 16894550
  18. Hop may be cleaved by GzmB as an "innocent bystander" during the induction of apoptosis, but it may also act to facilitate apoptosis in concert with other GzmB substrates PMID: 17005566
  19. Hop/STI1 can modulate both proliferation and cell death in the developing retina independent of PrP(C). PMID: 17651690
  20. These results show that PrP(C) endocytosis is a necessary step to modulate STI1-dependent ERK1/2 signaling involved in neuritogenesis. PMID: 18579743
  21. our data show that PrP(C) and STI1 are essential to astrocyte development and act through distinct signaling pathways. PMID: 19243016
