Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for TNFSF12/TWEAK. Weak inducer of apoptosis in some cell types. Promotes angiogenesis and the proliferation of endothelial cells. May modulate cellular adhesion to matrix proteins.
Gene References into Functions
  1. In SOD1 and Neurotomized mice the results of this studysuggest LC3, Fn14, Bcl3 and Gadd45a as candidate genes involved in the maintenance of the severe atrophic state. PMID: 25042397
  2. Fn14 mediates wound-healing responses that are necessary to survive acute liver injury during alcohol exposure. PMID: 25524063
  3. Overexpression of Dnmt3a inhibits the gene expression of Fn14 and attenuates skeletal muscle atrophy upon denervation. Denervation also causes the activation of ERK1/2, JNK1/2, and ERK5 MAPKs and AP1 and SP1. PMID: 24895120
  4. role in inflammation, fibrosis, and T helper 2-type immunity in colitis PMID: 23462911
  5. The levels of TWEAK receptor Fn14 are increased in skeletal muscle during aging. Deletion of Fn14 attenuates age-associated skeletal muscle fiber atrophy. PMID: 24680686
  6. this study showed that the apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1)-JNK1/2 pathway, which was activated by large magnitude mechanical stretch induced expression of Fn14 gene in osteoblasts. PMID: 24446436
  7. a model in which constitutive down-regulation of Fn14 facilitates dynamic regulation of Fn14 protein levels and prevents spontaneous or inappropriate receptor signaling. PMID: 24652288
  8. Data show that TWEAK receptor (Fn14) deficiency delays formation of regenerating foci after partial pancreatectomy (Px) and limits their expansion. PMID: 23991053
  9. Fn14 ablation attenuates right ventricular hypertrophy after Pulmonary Artery Banding and activation of TWEAK/Fn14 signaling promotes cardiomyocyte growth in vitro. PMID: 23764551
  10. Fn14 is an endogenous key regulator in cardiac fibrosis and suggest this receptor as potential new target for therapeutic interventions in heart failure. PMID: 23325387
  11. binding of TWEAK to Fn14 PMID: 22081603
  12. Fn14 blockade attenuated the development of chronic fibrosis after renal ischemia reperfusion injury. PMID: 20927042
  13. The cytoplasmic tail of this protein binds tumour-necrosis-factor-receptor-associated factors 1, 2, 3 and 5 and mediates nuclear factor-kappaB activation. PMID: 12529173
  14. findings show that the Fn14/TWEAK receptor (TweakR) was not responsible for the osteoclastic effect of TWEAK on RAW cells PMID: 12794080
  15. Fn14 contributes to nerve regeneration via a Rac1 GTPase-dependent mechanism. PMID: 14573547
  16. Fn14 receptor is required for the expression of myogenic regulatory factors and differentiation of myoblasts into myotubes. PMID: 17383968
  17. Review highlights the multifaceted functions of the emerging Tweak/Fn14 pathway and proposes a conceptual framework for TWEAK/Fn14 pathway function in health and disease. PMID: 17981048
  18. Fn14 is expressed on colon epithelial cells in TNBS colitis, and TWEAK induces epithelial production of pathogenic mediators PMID: 19109961
  19. Cardiomyocytes express Fn14. Dilated cardiomyopathy & severe cardiac dysfunction is mediated only by Fn14, independent of TNF-alpha, & is associated with cell elongation & cardiac fibrosis but not apoptosis. PMID: 19349318
  20. expression on resident kidney cells is sufficient to initiate nephritis in murine model of lupus PMID: 19573558
