Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Promotes up-regulation of actin stress fiber formation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Differential roles of SORBS proteins in mechanotransduction. PMID: 28864765
  2. Vinexin beta deficiency attenuates atherogenesis primarily by suppressing vascular inflammation and inactivating Akt-nuclear factor kappaB signaling. Our data suggest that vinexin beta could be a therapeutic target for the treatment of atherosclerosis. PMID: 28209562
  3. The results indicate that lipid rafts play an important role in extracellular matrix stiffness regulation of cell migration via expression vinculin and its interaction with vinexin alpha. PMID: 28485208
  4. Our findings revealed that Vinexin-beta acts as a novel modulator of ischaemic injury PMID: 25824575
  5. Vinexin-beta increases myocardial infarction-induced mortality and worsens cardiac dysfunction through aggravation of myocardial apoptosis and inflammatory response. PMID: 25658191
  6. In the absence of retinoic acid (RA), vinexinbeta does not occupy RARgamma target gene promoters and sequesters nonphosphorylated RARgamma out of promoters PMID: 20634350
  7. vinexin (-/-) mice exhibited a delay in cutaneous wound healing in both the back skin and tail without affecting the proliferation of keratinocytes PMID: 20361963
  8. regulates the anchorage dependence of ERK2 activation stimulated by epidermal growth factor PMID: 11825889
  9. vinexin is a novel substrate of ERK2 and may play roles in ERK-dependent cell regulation PMID: 15184391
  10. phosphorylation of the AF-1 domain controls RARgamma-mediated transcription through triggering the dissociation of vinexin beta PMID: 15734736
  11. gamma isoform seems to be implicated in regulation of Sox9 gene expression by modulating MAPK cascade in fetal gonads PMID: 15836771
  12. vinexins are recruited to focal adhesions by activated vinculin PMID: 16126177
  13. Data report the identification of the cytoskeletal protein vinexin as a protein interacting with SHIP2. PMID: 16302969
  14. The testicular vinexin pattern underwent significant changes after developmental exposure to 17beta-estradiol (E(2)). PMID: 17582013
  15. v-Src-mediated transformation suppresses the expression of focal adhesion protein vinexin. PMID: 19217206
  16. vinexin alpha is tyrosine phosphorylated in v-Src-transformed cells, and this tyrosine phosphorylation of vinexin alpha attenuates the association of vinexin alpha with vinculin. PMID: 19580787
