Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

 Q&A
Q:

I purchased your Recombinant Pan troglodytes Leucine-rich glioma-inactivated protein 1 (LGI1), partial; 1 mg (E-Coli) (cat#: CSB-EP626478EQV; PO#: 70P-031418) and I have the following questions about this protein:
1) We understand the protein is still in production. We want to know if it is too late to request to receive the protein in PBS buffer instead of the general Tris-based buffer and Glycerol? If yes, please confirm you will try to send the protein in PBS buffer. If no, then can you please send an aliquot of 5mL of just the buffer (Tris-based with glycerol) so we can use as a negative control for their experiment?
2) Do you have any information about what the estimated concentration may be for this protein sample? Will it be delivered all in 1 vial or aliquots?
3) Do you have any information about the tag-type that the protein may have?

A:
Thank you for your feedback.
1. Cat#: CSB-EP626478EQV in PO#: 70P-031418 has already passed QC this afternoon. Glycerol has been added, and we have to conduct dialysis if you want PBS buffer.
The current storage buffer is 10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0, 50% glycerol. We don't suggest to change the buffer at this time and prefer to provide an aliquot of 5mL of just the buffer(10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0, 50% glycerol), so you can use it as a negative control for your experiment. I have already informed our protein team of this remark.
2. The protein concentration is 0.6mg/ml. The 1mg of protein will be delivered all in 1 vial as requested in the original order.
3. This protein is with N-terminal 10xHis-tagged and C-terminal Myc-tagged. This fusion protein has already passed QC this afternoon and will be shipped out this week.
Pls feel free to contact me if you need further help.

Target Background

Function
Regulates voltage-gated potassium channels assembled from KCNA1, KCNA4 and KCNAB1. It slows down channel inactivation by precluding channel closure mediated by the KCNAB1 subunit. Ligand for ADAM22 that positively regulates synaptic transmission mediated by AMPA-type glutamate receptors. Plays a role in suppressing the production of MMP1/3 through the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/ERK pathway.
Subcellular Location
Secreted. Cell junction, synapse.
