Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
One of the major pre-mRNA-binding proteins. Binds tenaciously to poly(C) sequences. Likely to play a role in the nuclear metabolism of hnRNAs, particularly for pre-mRNAs that contain cytidine-rich sequences. Can also bind poly(C) single-stranded DNA. Plays an important role in p53/TP53 response to DNA damage, acting at the level of both transcription activation and repression. When sumoylated, acts as a transcriptional coactivator of p53/TP53, playing a role in p21/CDKN1A and 14-3-3 sigma/SFN induction. As far as transcription repression is concerned, acts by interacting with long intergenic RNA p21 (lincRNA-p21), a non-coding RNA induced by p53/TP53. This interaction is necessary for the induction of apoptosis, but not cell cycle arrest.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Results show that synaptic activity and BDNF regulate hnRNP K and hnRNP K-bound mRNAs in vitro and in vivo. The large number of transcripts showing a decreased coimmunoprecipitation with hnRNP K on stimulation with BDNF suggests a role for this RNP in the regulation of neuronal function in general and, in particular, in the BDNF-mediated plasticity events. PMID: 29255796
  2. hnRNP K regulates dendritic spine density and long-term potentiation in cultured hippocampal neurons from embryonic rats. hnRNP K knockdown prevents ERK cascade activation. PMID: 24990929
  3. hnRNP-K is required for myelin basic protein synthesis. PMID: 21357748
  4. These results suggest that transcription factor Hnrnpk is a key regulator for primordial follicle assembly and development, which provides a new potential therapeutic target to regulate ovarian function and treat ovarian disease. PMID: 21190960
  5. In vitro a single kinase can phosphorylate K protein on multiple sites spanning the entire length of the protein, including residues contained within the RNA/DNA-binding domains. PMID: 16448870
  6. In the central nervous system, hnRNP K mRNA expression gradually decreases during development until it is restricted to a very limited number of structures including most notably the hippocampus and the retina. PMID: 16488668
  7. satellite I RNA binds to hnRNP K protein PMID: 16496041
  8. analysis of the hnRNP K protein-protein interactome PMID: 16518874
  9. hnRNP K is a nuclear protein that binds to the insulin-responsive element of the rat angiotensinogen gene promoter and modulates angiotensinogen gene transcription in the kidney PMID: 16837467
  10. Decreased recruitment of hnRNP K protein to the mutated sequence causes the low expression of CYP2D2 mRNA in dark agouti rats. PMID: 19420131
