Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Converts noradrenaline to adrenaline.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These results suggest that increased PNMT gene expression via altered transcriptional activity is a possible mechanism by which prenatal exposure to elevated levels of glucocorticoids may program for hypertension later in life. PMID: 26475702
  2. Stress elevated PNMT levels in heart ventricles. PMID: 21777029
  3. Findings demonstrate that CoCl(2)-induced ROS have synergistic effects on hormonal and neural activation of the PNMT promoter. PMID: 22007271
  4. PNMT gene expression in the rat spleen is exaggerated by stress stimuli, suggesting its role in physiological regulations PMID: 11965360
  5. PNMT activates both nicotinic and muscarinic receptors in vivo and in vitro PMID: 12438084
  6. PNMT may play a role in the regulation of fetal heart rate prior to development of the adrenal medulla [review] PMID: 12438093
  7. Phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase expression is regulated by cAMP-dependent protein kinase A and protein kinase C signaling pathways PMID: 12438094
  8. 15% haemorrhage significantly induced expression of PNMT in the rostral C1 region of ventrolateral medulla PMID: 12782392
  9. Glucocorticoid receptors form multimers of Pmnt independent of the DNA binding domain PMID: 12933902
  10. expression of the PNMT gene seems to be modulated through competitive binding of phosphorylated Sp1 and MAZ to their consensus elements in the promoter. PMID: 14573768
  11. PNMT gene expression and protein levels were increased after repeated stress exposure in stellate ganglia of rats and wild-type mice. The immobilization-induced increase was probably regulated by glucocorticoids. PMID: 16696852
  12. The results allow us to propose that in the heart, the immobilization-induced increase in PNMT gene expression is probably not in cardiomyocytes, but in neuronal cells. PMID: 17175506
  13. These results suggest that PNMT gene expression is modulated differently in cardiac atria and ventricles and might result in different physiological consequences. PMID: 17356229
  14. Real-time quantitative polymerase-chain reaction was performed to quantify relative expression levels of mRNAs for catecholamine biosynthetic enzymes tyrosine hydroxylase, dopamine beta-hydroxylase and phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase. PMID: 18987458
  15. In chronically isolated rats, gene expression levels of phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase in the adrenal medulla was decreased. PMID: 19112418
  16. Data show that voluntary wheel running failed to modify sensitivity to cardiovascular action of oxytocin but resulted in increased gene expression of PNMT in left, but not right, heart atrium in a running activity-dependent manner. PMID: 19120122
  17. Altered transcriptional regulation of PNMT is a contributing factor to altered adrenergic function in hypertension. PMID: 19539715
