Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Sodium-dependent and purine-selective. Exhibits the transport characteristics of the nucleoside transport system cif or N1 subtype (N1/cif) (selective for purine nucleosides and uridine). Accepts purine, analogs of purine nucleosides and uridine, and exhibits high affinity for adenosine.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The purpose of this study is to determine the localization of nucleoside transporters expressed within rat epididymis to demonstrate the potential of epididymal reabsorption. Using immunohistochemistry, we determined that equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 (ENT1) is localized to the basolateral membrane of epithelial cells, ENT2 is expressed in the nucleus of the epithelium and CNT2 is expressed by basal cells. PMID: 28322028
  2. rCNT2 extracellular cysteines, Cys(615) and Cys(649), are important for maturation and sorting to the plasma membrane PMID: 25315414
  3. CNT2 is likely to modulate extracellular adenosine and cell energy balance in neuronal tissue. PMID: 23819782
  4. Report induction of CNT2 in experimental diabetes mellitus. PMID: 22354287
  5. the N-terminal tail of rCNT2 contains dual sorting signals. An acidic region is responsible for its proper stabilization at the plasma membrane, whereas the putative CK2 domain (Ser(46)) is implicated in the apical sorting of the transporter. PMID: 22136384
  6. Data concluded that CNT2 contributes considerably to nucleoside uptake in rat hepatocytes but not in mouse hepatocytes. PMID: 20421393
  7. a new physiological role for the transporter in the modulation of extracellular adenosine levels and the sleep/wakefulness cycle PMID: 15287894
  8. The relative distribution of SLC28 gene expression suggests a role for the proximal tubule in renal nucleoside clearance and an accessory role for CNT2 and CNT3, in adenosine-mediated regulation of collecting duct functions. PMID: 16014043
  9. Bile acids were found to increase CNT2-related transport activity in a K(ATP) channel-independent manner in both Fao hepatoma and rat liver parenchymal cells. PMID: 16390326
  10. two-electrode voltage-clamp technique was used to investigate CNT2 transport mechanism and study the interaction of nucleoside-derived drugs with the transporter expressed in Xenopus laevis oocytes PMID: 16837649
  11. Results identify the critical domains and amino acid residues that contribute to the observed difference in specificity between concentrative nucleoside transporter (CNT)2 orthologs. PMID: 16840788
  12. TGF-beta1 transcriptionally activates the CNT2-encoding gene in a JNK-dependent manner. PMID: 17013559
