Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Notes

Target Background

Function
Member of the two-component regulatory system VraS/VraR involved in the control of the cell wall peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Upon cellular stress, the histidine kinase VraS transfers the phosphoryl group onto VraR. Upon phosphorylation, VraR dimerizes at the N-terminal domain. In turn, phosphorylation-induced dimerization expands and enhances the VraR binding to its own promoter leading to increased expression and subsequent modulation of as many as 40 genes, which ultimately constitute the S.aureus response to cell wall damage. In addition, inhibits the host autophagic flux and delays the early stage of autophagosome formation, thereby promoting bacterial survival. Facilitates the ability of S.aureus to resist host polymorphonuclear leukocytes-mediated phagocytosis and killing thus contributing to immune evasion.
