Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May be involved in zinc transport out of the cell.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Hypoxia/reoxygenation dramatically decreased ZnT-1 expression in rat astrocytes. PMID: 26463958
  2. These data indicate that maternal zinc deficiency resulted in an elevated incidence of fetal heart malformations, which was associated with significant decreases in placental MT-1 and ZnT-1 mRNA expressions PMID: 24807795
  3. ZNT-1 interacts with GluN2A-containing NMDA receptors at the glutamatergic synapse. This complex is regulated by synaptic plasticity induction. ZNT-1 expression modulation in hippocampal neurons shrank dendritic spines and reduced GluN2A surface levels. PMID: 25319628
  4. The mRNA levels of ZnT-1 and BDNF were significantly increased in spinal cord injury model group. PMID: 20838921
  5. ZnT-1 expression is crucial for maintaining zinc homeostasis, in particular, for the enhanced retention of zinc in transformed cells when subjected to zinc deprivation. PMID: 21775119
  6. These data are consistent with an important role for ZnT-1, ZnT-3 and PRG-1 in the pathophysiology of the long-term adverse effects of recurrent neonatal seizure-induced hippocampal mossy fiber sprouting and cognitive deficit. PMID: 20167268
  7. show that rapid electrical pacing can augment ZnT-1 expression in culture as well as in the atria of rats in vivo. PMID: 20201890
  8. The elevated ZnT-1 expression following zinc priming or after heterologous expression of ZnT-1 may explain the reduced zinc accumulation and the subsequent reduction in sensitivity toward toxic zinc levels. [ZnT-1] PMID: 15378655
  9. Our findings therefore indicate that ZnT-1 modulates the permeation of cations through LTCC, thereby, regulating cation homeostasis through this pathway. PMID: 15451416
  10. Zn deficiency results in alterations in Zn transporter expression, which facilitates increased brain Zn uptake and results in the conservation of brain Zn during Zn deficiency PMID: 15867272
  11. These results indicate that endogenously-expressed ZnT-1, by modulating LTCC, has a dual role: regulating calcium influx, and attenuating Cd(2+) and Zn(2+) permeation and toxicity in neurons and other cell types. PMID: 16741752
  12. findings demonstrate that crosstalk between ZnT-1 and the L-type calcium channels may underlie atrial response to rapid pacing, suggesting that ZnT-1 is a significant participant in rate-dependent cardiac electrical remodeling. PMID: 17196651
  13. ZnT-1, ZnT-3, CaMK II, PRG-1 expressions in hippocampus following neonatal seizure-induced cognitive deficit in rats. PMID: 19059322
  14. findings suggest that ZnT1 plays a direct role in Zn2+ efflux in cultured cortical neurons PMID: 19095042
  15. zinc transporter 1 is an endogenous inhibitor of L-type calcium channels PMID: 19767393
