Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May play a role in lipid metabolic process.
Gene References into Functions
  1. CPT1C in the mediobasal hypothalamus is necessary for proper hypothalamic sensing of a negative energy balance and fuel partitioning in liver and muscle. PMID: 28472467
  2. data newly identify CPT1C as a regulator of AMPAR translation efficiency and therefore also synaptic function in the hippocampus PMID: 26338711
  3. Results indicate that altered ceramide metabolism in motor brain areas induced by Cpt1c deficiency causes progressive motor dysfunction from a young age PMID: 23973755
  4. The expression of CPT1C is induced by metabolic stress factors such as hypoxia and glucose deprivation in a p53 and AMP activated kinase-dependent manner. PMID: 23412344
  5. ghrelin induces food intake through regulation of hypothalamic CPT1C and ceramide metabolism PMID: 23493572
  6. CPT1c is not involved in fatty acid beta-oxidation, there were no changes in metabolites associated with fatty acid oxidation. PMID: 23098614
  7. CPT1C regulates the levels of ceramide in the endoplasmic reticulum of hippocampal neurons PMID: 22539351
  8. CPT1c can elicit profound effects on brain physiology and total fatty acid profiles, which can be modulated by the nutritional composition of the diet PMID: 21592121
  9. Data show that the anorectic actions of central leptin or cerulenin are impaired in mice with brain CPT-1c deleted. PMID: 21593415
  10. cells can use a novel mechanism involving CPT1C and fatty acid metabolism to protect against metabolic stress PMID: 21576264
  11. CPT1c is necessary for the regulation of energy homeostasis PMID: 16651524
  12. CPT1c is appropriately localized in regions and cell types to regulate energy homeostasis PMID: 17559810
  13. Plays a role in maintaining energy homeostasis, but not through altered fatty acid oxidation. PMID: 18248603
  14. Changes in hepatic and skeletal muscle glucose metabolism are important mechanisms determining the phenotype of Cpt1c knockout mice, rendering them susceptible to glucose intolerance. PMID: 19224198
