Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Acts as a transcriptional activator. Plays a role in terminal differentiation of interneurons, such as amacrine and bipolar cells in the developing retina. Likely to play a regulatory role in the development of the ventral forebrain. May play a role in craniofacial patterning and morphogenesis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Dlx2 overexpression may alter the alveolar bone, cementum and periodontal ligament (PDL) phenotypes in mice. PMID: 28447749
  2. the expression level and the spatiotemporal expression patterns of Dlx2 may be important in regulating the development of post-natal condyle in mice, and also offered a possible temporalmandibular joint osteoarthritis model animal for future studies. PMID: 27315306
  3. The activation of DLX2 signaling might improve tissue regeneration mediated by MSCs of dental origin. Results provide insight into the mechanism underlying the directed differentiation of MSCs of dental origin. PMID: 24756434
  4. the prethalamic factors Dlxs upregulated by Ascl1/Helt deficiency play unique roles in regulating thalamic progenitor specification. PMID: 25512300
  5. Dlx2 overexpression in neural crest stem cells may be a new pathogenesis of facial cleft and spinal kyphosis in mammals. PMID: 23246068
  6. Dlx2 is one critical player in shifting TGFbeta from its tumour suppressive to its tumour-promoting functions. PMID: 21897365
  7. Dlx2 and FoxJ1 physically interact and synergistically regulate the Dlx2, FoxJ1, and amelogenin promoters PMID: 21504905
  8. in hippocampal precursors Dlx2 promoted neurogenesis but not neural stem cell activation PMID: 20417282
  9. Results suggest that DLX2 and EGFR signalling interact at multiple levels to coordinate neuronal proliferation in the postnatal subventricular zone. PMID: 19683576
  10. ectopic expression of Dlx2 induced the expression of glutamic acid decarboxylases (GADs) PMID: 11782417
  11. Dlx2 has a role in deteriming mouse basal ganglia and neocortex axonal development PMID: 12421703
  12. Dlx-2 does not play a direct role in dopamine phenotypic differentiation and tyrosine hydroxylase gene regulation in adult olfactory bulb. Widespread expression of Dlx in adult brains suggests these genes may have additional roles in mature animals. PMID: 12722102
  13. In Nkx2.1 mutants, the early but not late populations of Dlx2-expressing cells originating in the ventral telencephalon that migrate to the cortex are lost. PMID: 12902388
  14. In this review, Dlx2 is an early bone morphogenetic protein 2 responsive gene in osteoblasts. PMID: 12957859
  15. The gene expression profile of Dlx2 subpallium was studied at different embryonic days. PMID: 15376329
  16. These results suggest a role for Dlx genes in regulating ectomesenchymal cell adhesion and supports the possibility that the skeletal dysmorphology seen in Dlx null mice may derive from abnormalities at the condensation stage. PMID: 15848386
  17. complex containing the Evf-2 ncRNA and the Dlx-2 protein forms in vivo, suggesting that the Evf-2 ncRNA activates transcriptional activity by directly influencing Dlx-2 activity PMID: 16705037
