Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Interferon-induced dynamin-like GTPase with antiviral activity against influenza A virus, (IAV), influenza B virus (IBV) and Thogoto virus (THOV). Inhibits FLUAV by interfering with the process of primary transcription, probably by affecting the viral polymerase function.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Genetic dominance of protective myxovirus (influenza virus) resistance 1 protein (Mx1) haplotypes was observed to differ by subspecies of origin. PMID: 29187420
  2. Our studies emphasize therefore that proper controls are crucial when modeling gene deletion using the Mx1-Cre transgene. PMID: 27373927
  3. the enhanced influenza virus susceptibility of CAST/EiJ mice can be explained by minor alterations in the MX1 restriction factor that negatively affect its enzymatic activity and reduce its half-life PMID: 27654285
  4. Data indicate that Mx protein as host defense peptide can be potentiated for improving influenza vaccine efficacy. PMID: 28027847
  5. Mouse Mx1 was shown to be essential for interferon type I-dependent protective immunity against primary influenza. (Review) PMID: 26761402
  6. In Mx1-intact mice with weakened resistance due to deficiencies in Mavs and Tlr7, an elevated respiratory bacterial burden was found. PMID: 27102485
  7. Functional Comparison of Mx1 from Two Different Mouse Species Reveals the Involvement of Loop L4 in the Antiviral Activity against Influenza A Viruses. PMID: 26292322
  8. we show that, very unexpectedly, congenic D2-Mx1(r/r) mice carrying the wild-type Mx1 gene from the A2G strain are not fully protected against lethal influenza virus infections PMID: 26202236
  9. dysregulated gene transcriptional activity corresponded to persistent induction of cytokine/chemokines and recruitment of cytokine-producing cells that promote inflammation in B6-Mx1(-/-) mouse lungs. PMID: 23395090
  10. Mice with a functional Mx1 generate a strong antiviral state by downregulating key modulator molecules associated with influenza virus lethality. PMID: 22190720
  11. functional Mx1 did not alter olfactory bulb invasion by virus but attenuated illness compared to knockout Mx1 mice PMID: 21821116
  12. nuclear MxA suppresses the influenza virus transcription by interacting not only with RNA polymerase subunit PB2 but also with influenza NP PMID: 14752052
  13. Thogoto virus mutant lacking protein ML was strongly attenuated in mice carrying the interferon-responsive Mx1 gene PMID: 15452266
  14. A variant of influenza A virus strain A/PR/8/34 (H1N1) exhibits normal sensitivity to growth restriction by Mx1; the virus is well controlled in Mx1-expressing but not Mx1-null mice. PMID: 17426143
  15. Mx1 represents a key component of the murine innate immune system that mediates protection against epidemic and pandemic influenza viruses. PMID: 17652381
  16. Our data support the hypothesis that Mx1 expression protects mice against the high pathogenicity of H5N1 virus through inhibition of viral polymerase activity ultimately resulting in reduced viral growth and spread PMID: 17700072
  17. Mx mice show resistance to the infection of influenza virus but not of West Nile virus. PMID: 19827744
