Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Probable transcription factor required for the expression of a subset of genes involved in interneurons migration and development. Functions in the specification of cortical interneuron subtypes and in the migration of GABAergic interneuron precursors from the subpallium to the cerebral cortex.
Gene References into Functions
  1. studies identify Lhx6-positive GABAergic neurons in the ventral zona incerta that promote sleep PMID: 28847002
  2. LHX6 inhibits breast cancer cell proliferation and invasion via repression of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. PMID: 26129710
  3. Lhx6 and Lhx8 promote palate development through negative regulation of a cell cycle inhibitor gene, p57Kip2 PMID: 26071365
  4. Studies indicate that LIM homeobox proteins Lhx6 and -8 mRNAs are primarily expressed in the ventral telencephalon, specifically in the medial ganglionic eminence (MGE) of the basal forebrain and in subsets of neurons in the striatum. PMID: 26148970
  5. The data of this study showed the molecular identity of Lhx6 mutants and introduce technologies to test mechanisms in GABAergic interneuron differentiation. PMID: 24742460
  6. Lhx6 plays an important role in the maturation of cortical interneurons and the formation of inhibitory circuits in the mammalian cortex PMID: 22710612
  7. Msx1 interacts with Lhx6 and Sna in vivo. A network of transcription factors operates during early tooth morphogenesis. PMID: 23754753
  8. LHX6 is a transcriptional repressor that interacts with pituitary homeobox 2 (PITX2) to regulate odontogenesis PMID: 23229549
  9. Lhx6 and Lhx8 coordinately induce neuronal expression of Shh that controls the generation of interneuron progenitors. PMID: 21658586
  10. Lhx6 functions may be partially redundant in the mesenchyme of the secondary palate, but not in the palatal epithelium. PMID: 12086327
  11. plays an important role in migration of cortical interneurons from the ventral telencephalon to the neocortex PMID: 15201337
  12. Lhx6 delineates a pathway mediating innate reproductive behaviors from the amygdala to the hypothalamus. PMID: 15944132
  13. Lhx6 is required for specification of neuronal subtypes in the neocortex and the hippocampus, and for normal tangential and radial migration of GABAergic interneurons in the cortex. PMID: 17376969
  14. NKX2.1 protein binds a highly conserved sequence in the Lhx6 promoter, and this sequence appears to mediate the direct activation of Lhx6 by NKX2.1. PMID: 18339674
  15. Lhx6 mediates effects through promoting expression of receptors that regulate interneuron migration and through promoting expression of transcription factors either known or implicated in controlling interneuron development. PMID: 18613121
  16. the redundant activities of the LIM homeodomain proteins Lhx6 and Lhx7 are critical for craniofacial development and patterning of mammalian dentition PMID: 19591819
