Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Retinol dehydrogenase with a clear preference for NADP. Converts all-trans-retinol to all-trans-retinal. Has no detectable activity towards 11-cis-retinol, 9-cis-retinol and 13-cis-retinol. Required for normal embryonic development.
Gene References into Functions
  1. 11-cis-retinol is oxidized selectively in cones to the 11-cis-retinal used for pigment regeneration; RDH10 is not the enzyme responsible for this oxidation. PMID: 28539612
  2. RDH10 and Retinoic acid are required for salivary gland initiation. PMID: 29986869
  3. Embryonic fibroblasts from Rdh10 heterozygote hypomorphs or with a total Rdh10 knockout exhibit decreased all-trans-retinoic acid biosynthesis and escalated adipogenesis. PMID: 29321172
  4. Rdh10 null mutant mouse embryos exhibited dorsal pancreas agenesis and a hypoplastic ventral pancreas with retarded tubulogenesis and branching. Conditional disruption of Rdh10 from the endoderm caused increased mortality, reduced body weight, and lowered blood glucose levels after birth. Endodermal Rdh10 deficiency led to a smaller dorsal pancreas with a reduced density of early glucagon(+) and insulin(+) cells. PMID: 27740873
  5. Taken together, our findings demonstrate that RDH10 is essential during the early stages of facial morphogenesis for the formation of a functional nasal airway, and furthermore establish Rdh10 mutant mice as an important model system to study choanal atresia (CA) PMID: 28169399
  6. RDH10 acts in cooperation with other RDH isoforms to produce the 11-cis-retinal chromophore needed for vision. PMID: 26391396
  7. Insulin inhibits retinoic acid biosynthesis through inhibition of FoxO1-induced Rdh10 gene expression. PMID: 25627686
  8. all three proteins (RDH10, RALDH2, and CRABP2) appeared to be required for ATRA production induced by activation of PPARgamma PMID: 23833249
  9. Rdh10-/- embryos demonstrate that RA controls hindbrain but not early forebrain patterning, while studies on retinaldehyde-rescued Rdh10-/- embryos show that meningeal RA synthesis is unnecessary to stimulate forebrain cortical expansion. PMID: 23765990
  10. Retinol dehydrogenase 10 is indispensible for spermatogenesis in juvenile males. PMID: 23267101
  11. retinol dehydrogenase Rdh10 localizes to lipid droplets during acyl ester biosynthesis PMID: 23155051
  12. RDH10-mediated oxidation of retinol plays as important a role in the control and regulation of retinoic acid production during embryogenesis as does the subsequent RALDH-mediated reaction. PMID: 22319578
  13. identified a missense mutation in the Rdh10 gene (Rdh10(m366Asp) ) using an N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea-induced forward genetic screen that result in reduced RA levels and signaling during embryonic development PMID: 22162152
  14. Retinol dehydrogenase 10 is involved in embryonic patterning and its loss of function can be rescued by maternal retinaldehyde treatment. PMID: 21930923
  15. Using protein modeling, enzymatic assays, and mutant embryos, we determined that RDH10(trex) mutant protein lacks the ability to oxidize retinol to retinal, resulting in insufficient retinoic acid signaling. PMID: 17473173
  16. findings show show that the gene encoding Rdh10 is expressed according to complex profiles both during early embryogenesis and organ differentiation PMID: 17849458
  17. The distribution of Rdh10 transcripts during brain and sensory organ development is consistent with a role of this enzyme in generating region-specific pools of retinaldehyde that will be used by the various RALDHs to refine the patterns of RA synthesis. PMID: 18399539
